Door Problems of Plymouth Voyager - part 1

Transmission is shifting terrible!the back door will not open at all,the side door will not open from inside. My lights from the inside of vehicle goes on and off. While driving down the road the van shakes terrible, it feels like the motor shakes.

The consumer's son was driving when the transmission failed. Massive amounts of metal was found inside of the differential. The transmission would only go in reverse. The sliding door motor failed and the driverside power locks on the driver side slide door had become inoperative. The consumer requested reimbursement. Scc.

While driving 65 mph vehicle suddenly downshifted a couple of gears, went from 65 to 35 in a matter of moments. Vehicle experiences a loud thump in the engine compartment, dealer has not been able to correct problem. Malfunctioning electric door locks. Malfunctioning electric windows. Incorectly shifting transmision. Keyless entry failure. Dash gauges fail. Poor gas mileage. Wind whistling through failed window seal.

Since the vehicle was purchased brand new, the sliding door on the passenger side failed to open. . The dealership attempted to repair the door on 5 occasions.

The right rear passenger door power lock failed. The door can still be manually locked.

Driver's side rear sliding door has powe locks. When the power lock button is pressed it remains unlocked. Sliding door was suppose to automatically lock ifthe door was closed. Door will only lock manually.

When taking off door automatically locks, and it makes avery loud sound. When attempting to unlock door on driver's side, it is very hard to unlock with key.

The electric latch mechanisms fail for both the driver and passenger side sliding doors.

The solenoid that controls the door locks failed. Yh.

A few days after vehicle was purchased the sliding doors made rattling and squeaking noises.

The weather stripping around the front driver's side door was cut.

All automatic doors lock when engine is started. Supposed to lock when vehicle reaches 16 mph. This problem only happens 50% of the time. Inconvenience more than anything ! !.

The power locks go up and down, the dome light flickers on and off, the door ajar light illuminates, the bell sound intermittently, the dealer adjusted the door and secured switch. Nlm.

Driving vehicle 45 mph, had all doors locked; pulled on handle on door from inside & it opened. Called dealer & was informed it happens like that on all Voyagers. That's the way they are made.

Three power door locks were replaced because automatic lock would not engage properly. Problem has been reoccurring on driver's door. Dealer and manufacturer were notified. .

The gas gauge indicator reading is incorrect, the gauge reads less fuel in the tank. The sending unit was replaced. Also, when traveling the rear window shattered, causing the glass fragments to enter the passenger compartment. In addition, multiple electrical problems, causing inside/accessory lights and windshield wipers to come on by themselves.

Power door locks were inadvertently activated thereby locking infant in vehicle.

Efective components include: spark plug wires/ sliding door motor/circuit board//door handles/battery/ignition switch/multifunction switch, door lock motor/ windshield motor/ latch door lift gate, and rear shock absorber and rear struts. Please attach a description of each of these defects and copies of any work you have had performed on the vehicle regarding these defects.

While trying to open the sliding door, the door sticks and sometimes cannot be opened from the inside or outside. Under investigation (ea 96 025).

When making a left turn the consumer experienced loss of power steering, also sticking front passenger window/difficulty opening/closing sliding rear doors.

Electrical problem causes with windshield wipers, dome lights, 'door ajar' light,door locks, and turn signals on dash.

The left and right sliding grab handle button is hard to depress, the dealer lubed both mechanisms and adjusted linkages, the right side sliding door can not be opened or unlocked manually and the dealer adjusted the door. Nlm.

Electric door latch failed.

Power door lock inoperative.

Sliding door lock sticks, causing rear passengers to be trapped inside vehicle.

Plastic side panel molding coming off on passenger side sliding door.

Power locking system fails intermittently.

Sliding door will not open.

Having problem with ac compressor, oil leak, sliding door panel.

Owner states that the sliding door sticks and that she had vehicle in the dealers five times and they have not solved the problem, dealer said it was a faulty acutator valve.

The consumer states that there have been several unpleasant repairs. On 4 occasions the sliding door motor failed.

The power motor element in the door assembly malfunctioned, causing the locks on all doors to break, causing occupants to be trapped in the vehicle. Please give any further details.

When opening the sliding door can't get it too close from the outside, sometimes door will close from the inside . Please describe .

The interior light did not come on. The drivers side window failed intermittently. The dash lights flickered. Occasionally the horn would fail. Metal fragment cut through the power steering and caused noise when steering. The door handle didn't open smoothly. The dealer replaced front struts and rear shock absorbers. Also, replaced leaking engine valve cover gasket, engine belt and tensioner. .

Pe-038 active, sliding door will not open.
