While driving 45mph another vehicle made a "u" turn without warning. Voyager hit other vehicle which pulled over to the right, rearending vehicle. Driver's side was damaged. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed. 2 rear passengers were thrown forward into the bucket seats, even though both were buckled in. Neither shoulder belts restrained the 100lb child or the 70lb child. Paramedics arrived on scene & treated everyone. Driver in hospital next day for torn ligaments & in need of therapy.
While driving on rural road police officer made an illegal u turn right in front without signaling or activating emergency lights, causing the consumer to strike the front left corner of the panel on vehicle. Upon impact, neither airbag deployed and seat belt didn't retract. Took vehicle to the dealer. They found a short in the heater control module, which caused computer failure in the body control module, disabling the air bags.
When fastening seatbelt it loosens up and rides up consumer's neck. It's different from all the other seat belts. Consumer feels this seat belt is unsafe because it does not stay on consumer's waist, it goes up under the arm.

Due to the retractor failure it was difficult to remove the child out the child seat, service recall #650. Consumer states her child was being choked due to the belts not releasing, they would tighten instead of release, child had indentations on chest and neck.
When releasing driver's side seatbelt and allowing shoulder belt to retract back into retractor, shoulder belt will not come back out , it will become stuck in retractor, causing loss of protection.
