Upon starting vehicle consumer smelled fuel. Then, heard a loud noise, and saw flames under the hood. Vehicle was totalled. *akthe investigators report concluded that the cause of the fire was due to the cracking of a high-pressure fuel hose. This allowed for uncontained fuel to emanate into the engine compartment.
Consumer noticed evidence of fuel leakage. Dealer diagnosed that fuel was leaking from fuel rail and replaced it.
