Consumer is being refused recall (99v-216) from the dealership for unknown reason.
My family and I have been driving around in this vehicle for three to almost four year with a recall on the fuel pump parts problem which has been stated in writing by the damiler Chrysler corporation has caused a under body fire if not corrected. My question is and concern with this is how long have I had this car with this problem of a possible under body fire. My four girls and I have smell some kind of burning chemical smell when driving the car tha comes from under the hood into our car making us all sick comming and going in this car and giving us all migraine headaches. For three years we have suffered with migraine headaches when driving in this car only. My husband has another car and we do not get sick in his car, of course we don't smell the fumes either. It seems that the Chrysler coorporation took care to cover themselves with a recall on this part but took no part the fatal driving conditions that they exposed my family to. I am devastated emotionally with the knowledge that I have been driving myself and my kids around in a potential bomb. I am now having to take out the time to get my kids medically checked for any poisonus chemical exposure and myself. My airbag does not work and hasn't for a while and is suppose to be some kind of safety feature. Will that be the next recall? I do not expect to have to treat a corporation that I trusted to sale me a safe car to drive for me and family that they would sale me a leathel weapon, and expect to take off work to get the mistakes they have made corrected on my time. I would like some type of justice. . . . . . . For my and my families health and peace of mind, knowing that our saftey does matter, and that this negligence will have a consequence.

Three times I was driving about 70 miles an hour and my car completely shut down without warning. The first time I took it back to the dealer and the computer codes said there was loose relay wire to the fuel pump. About 1 week later it happened again at 70 miles an hour on the freeway and it quit on me again. I used another vehicle for work and the 2nd day after the 2nd incident I took it to the dealer. They kept it for 3 days and they stated no computer codes came up. It happened again for the 3rd time on 9-30-99 and I drove straight to dealership. They are closed for 4/5 days for exterminating. I told the guy this is the 3rd time it happened. Sorry but everything is closed until next Tuesday. I only drive in the fast lane or the complete right lane in fear this will happen again. When it shuts off I have to sit there for about 5 min, pump the gas pedal and then it starts. With or without the air conditioner on it does it. It constantly feels like it is going to die out on me. It is scary driving out here on the freeways with a semi-truck on your back and a car stalls out on you. I told them that but they say they can't.
