In-car entertainment, transmissions controls, audio controls, climate controls (front and rear) , car will shut off without turning the key in off position, often times the vehicle will just terminate a call with no warning - no explantion, the rear camera on the screen in reverse show the rear of the car but it stays on for like 10 seconds when moving forward in drive, all of these are selected one the center console but placing your hand and fingers on the panel you accidentally select features or controls - this is dangerous because you hit things that you don't want and is distracting. The entertainment system does not have the features they represent that they do and you are constantly distracted with trying to find a feature that it doesn't have or can't find; using the phone will not allow you to use the keypad until stopped. So what you end up doing is using your iphone which becomes a safety issue. There are so many problems that I can't message all. If you can give me a link I can't send or upload about 50 videos. I think all around to use the center counsel because hazardous design as to how to use a feature - it's a massive safety issue and hazard. I believe that many owners have been in accidents and caused damages and perhaps deaths. Porsche will not respond after the first call a few months ago. I was told by a dealer to contact the bbb - they told me that Porsche cars of America has a d minus rating and never has responded to customer complaints. I did discover that they made massive changes in the 2024 model. No wonder - I will stop here - will; attach a few photo's but there is no explanation. Please help!!.

The transfer case on my car has been confirmed by two different mechanics that it needs to be replaced. Porsche no longer makes or sells the original transfer case and components, so the entire transfer case needs to be replaced, at a cost of approximately $5,000. Porsche extended the warranty for the transfer case for up to 10 years, but I was never notified or made aware of this extension. Because my transfer case issue was identified 6 months outside of the extended warranty, the full cost of this repair is my liability. I believe that Porsche is aware that the original transfer case has design flaws and reliability issues, and while they did extend warranty coverage, they made no effort to communicate the extension. If so, I would have had the transfer case inspected while still under warranty.
Othe car's tach increase several hundred rpm as the computer tries to match revs when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd gear in normal mode and 2nd to 1st gear in sport mode. . When that happens, the car lurches forward. Owhat seems to be happening is the engine is over-revving while disengaged from a gear on shifts from 3rd to 2nd and even more so on 2nd to 1st causing a lurch forward when the lower gear engages.

I own a 2012 Porsche Cayenne. Transfer case broke at 33,000 miles and was replaced by the dealer, and now it broke again at 55,000 miles. Repair cost is $6,340 plus tax. It broke under the warranty period but Porsche gave me the runaround and told me they wouldn't check it until after some body damage was complete (more details below). Honestly feel like I'm getting gouged with faulty parts. Many other Porsche Cayenne owners seem to be reporting this problem on forums. (e. G. Https://rennlist. Com/forums/cayenne-958-2011-2018/1290994-transfer-case-failure-2. Html) more details - 1. We asked the Porsche dealership to review the car for mechanical issues and repair bumper body damage while the transfer case was under warranty. 2. The Porsche dealer declined to review any mechanical issues until the bumper body damage repair was complete. 3. The Porsche was taken in for service to repair the body work first in late March per Porsche's guidance while the transfer case was still under warranty. 4. The body work was delayed due to Porsche's supply chain issues, and by the time it was complete it was after may 2nd which was when the warranty expired for the transfer case. 5. When the Porsche dealer received the car after may 2nd it identified the transfer case broke. This has been a recurring issue with a car as one transfer case broke at ~33,000 miles and was replaced at a Porsche dealership. Now the second transfer case broke at 55,000 miles (this case only lasted 22,000 miles). 6. Porsche declined to make an exception to the warranty and recommends replacing the transfer case at a price of $6,340 plus tax which will likely last for between 22,000 - 33,000 miles based on prior data points.

I applied the gas pedal & the pedal seemed to stick . The vehicle kept accelerating after I took my foot off that pedal to apply brake . Car would slow when brake applied but immediately accelerated and kept increasing (speed was well over 90 mph & climbing ) when brake was released . This happened 3 times before the “stuck”pedal released. Another driver (retired mechanic) had driven the car and had similar experience a week prior and mentioned their experience. I didn’t realize how serious the incident could be. I called dealership but first available service appointment (scheduled) is Feb. 23,2022.
When downshifting and just before coming to a complete stop and vehicle lurches/surges forward even though my foot is on the brake pedal. This happens in every drive mode with or without autostart/stop engaged. It is significantly challenging in stop and go traffic because it’s difficult to gage when the car will come to a complete stop. I have to make accommodation for the car lunging forward which is unpredictable because sometimes it’s a subtle surge forward and other times I have no control or idea how far forward the car is going to move. This makes this is especially dangerous when cars are quickly changing lanes in front of me in stop and go traffic during rush hour. Emergency braking does not help this! I have experience this. The collision warning went off in the car and emergency braking was engaged just at the knick of time! adverse weather conditions could have easily made that a very bad accident. I should be able to do normal every day driving and stopping, for example stopping to a red light, or stop and go traffic without having to activate emergency functions in my car and putting myself at unnecessary risk because of a “glitch” with Porsche. This normal every day driving. I returned my car to the dealership who told me it’s normal performance for this car along with. I along with many other owners have researched this and found out that software upgrades have been done to correct this problem which are not available yet in the united states. This issue needs to be resolved immediately to prevent potential accidents.

The day we took our Porsche home, we noticed a lot of heat generation in the car- but we thought it will be fine going further, given the attention to detail of Porsche's automobile engineering. The following days were not any better for my daughter- she missed a major accident because of the unexpected burnt smell and loud warnings of an overheat of the engine by Porsche in the middle of a highway. Due to her excellent driving record for the past 5 years, she was able to manage and stop in the middle of the highway at the curb of the road. She panicked so much so that, she stopped using the Porsche and borrowed our other cars, benz and Lexus. I requested her to give Porsche another chance yesterday night. The same situation repeated again within a span of 10 minutes of her journey in Porsche; she had to stop in the middle of the road again due to engine overheat and burning smell and I went to pick her up as she got really scared. My son immediately informed the hennessey Porsche north atlanta, georgia, the USA about this repeated situation but seems like they do not care at all. I think you must be aware that dealerships play the most crucial role between your loyal customers and Porsche. We have not dared to take the Porsche out again after yesterday. The car smelled so burnt, the whole garage smelled bad and we had to move the car into the open driveway.

On my Porsche Cayenne e-hybrid model, the check engine light came on at less than 1000 miles. Porsche does not know why this happens but I've heard them claim that it's a software problem that has to do with how the car communicates with the charging system. Based on my research, there has been many other owners of the same vehicle with this problem. My vehicle has been in the shop for well over 30 days and Porsche still doesn't know what to do.
I returned after being away for a few weeks, in may 2021. The solar panel had been on the inner windshield of the car following installation a few months prior. I found the car's 12v battery was almost dead (about 4 volts), and the solar panel's plastic frame was severely melted, causing it to deform and lift away from the glass solar panel. Photos uploaded below. From reading reviews on this product on the harbor freight website, I now see that this is a common problem. I don't know what the cause is. Could be that the cheap plastic is just not made to withstand summer heat (although I have 2 more of these in my other cars, with no problems), and that the severe deformation of the frame somehow shorted something electical inside the panel that caused the car's 12v battery to discharge, heating the glass panel and melting all the surrounding plastic. Or it could be that an electrical problem was the trigger, causing the battery to discharge, etc. Harbor freight is so far making it extremely difficult to try to raise the problem with them. I think this could be a serious issue, perhaps leading to a car fire. And if it is indeed an electrical fault that triggers this, then it could happen when parked in a garage (no solar heating needed), possibly leading to worse.
The car came with a factory installed tow system. I returned it to the dealer three times and it does not work properly. I was shocked plugging in a tester to the 7 way connector. The dealer service manager advised me that I was not shocked and states that the lights stating the 7 way connector is normal. This is not normal. When I connect a digital break controller or 7 pin cable with a trailer the car doesn't not communicate with the break controller. The break controller expert stated that since no diode was showing when I plug the car in that this indicates the brakes are not wired correctly. The dealership says since another car works the same as mine they don't think it is a issue. Corporate Porsche is unable to advise on technical service bulletins or information on a wiring harness to enable a wired break controller. I took the car over to uhaul and did remote calls with the brake controller manufacturer. All state that it is something with the manner it is wired with a open ground. This is unsafe as I have no way safely brake or utilize a brake controller. Since other 2020s behave the same way this is a systemwide issue and the manufacturer is not taking action so it should be evaluated by engineering.
Recall work mishandled and caused problem: I went to Porsche for a regular oil change. They said that there is an active recall on camshaft and they can also be performed while the car is in. Now when I went to get my car back they said the engine light was on and when they checked the tech says the parts seems to be all new and it was done at a different work shop. They asked me to go to the shop and check with them. But I told them it was done few months back and I had no issues at all and the car didnt have any issues when I gave it for oil change( no check engine light). Also when I entered the car I was able to smell a thick oil smell which I informed becky the service consultant and I was told that it could be oil spill when they did oil change. I asked if the issue might be related to the camshaft work they did but they promptly said it was not related. So I took the car to the auto shop ( Porsche certified shop) to have them check it. The shop checked and didnt find any issues with their parts they replaced since it was covered under warranty they went ahead replaced the part and the check engine light sign didnt go away, so they performed smoke test and found out the intake leak coming from a sensor seal on the valve cover. They said this is because of the camshaft work that has caused a large air leak in the engine setting the check engine light. Also when they checked the covers they found that there were 2 aluminium screws that were broken . When the cover was removed the alumimium screws were supposed to be replaced which were not and the old ones were used which lead to tension and they were broken the auto shop has provided me with all the details and evidence of the issue along with video to showcase. I need NHTSA assistance to help me guide on this issue caused by the dealership to my car while working on the recall.

Transfer case issue. 2010 Porsche Cayenne transfer case issue. I have 260k miles on my Porsche. I started hearing a knocking noise about 3 weeks. I took to a german car specialist and they informed me that, the transfer case was going out and needed to be replaced. The cost is $5400. 00. I am a big fan of all things Porsche, but this issue has caused me to take a second look into buying another one. This should be an issue for recall by Porsche. What can we do about it?? I was driving the vehicle on to the highway via an on ramp, the knocking from the transfer case slowed the vehicle with traffic coming up from behind. Fortunately, it picked up speed.

Vibration from vehicle causes ear damage to occupants, whether vehicle is stationary or moving.
When accelerating the vehicle sputters and catches. This is extremely dangerous if trying to accelerate on a highway or should you need to accelerate to avoid a collision. My vehicle was bought brand new and currently only has 23,600 miles on it. This should not happen to a car with very low mileage. This issue happens while turning, while on the highway, while in reverse, and while on a city street. I took the car to Porsche and they identified that the car needs a new transfer case. This is unacceptable as this is extremely dangerous. This issue seems to have happened on 100s of Porsches.
Blower is keep starting and raising itself. When we open the driver door it is shutting it off. Dealer is unable to identify the issue and fix it it occured on a 72 degree temp day, moring. Car was parked in the garage and was not used for previous 2 days. It happend many times and towed to the dealer and they could not find anything wrong with it.

Porsche diesel emission compliant fix: - Porsche was required to apply emission fix to 2014 Cayenne diesel - diesel emission settlement requirement is the emission fix ". . Will not result in any noticeable changes to the driving characteristics. . " - in Jan 2018, emission fix was applied to 2014 Cayenne diesel - right after fix, the car showed 2-3 sec lag from the stop. At stop, when gas pedal is pressed, the car does not accelerate for 2-3 sec, then it "jumps" - in may, car was taken to Porsche dealership. Dealer stated that this lag is normal after fix, even though there was no such lag before fix - Porsche dealership installed latest software on the car in may. After that, lag decreased from 2-3sec to 2 sec. But the car still has abnormal lag - it feels unsafe to drive the car, when merging to roundabouts, when merging from the stop - a complaint was filed with Porsche cars of America. Requirement of no ". . . Noticeable changes to the driving characteristics" was discussed. Porsche said that the performance is "as designed" - clearly, when car was purchased in 2014, there was no lag. That's when the car performed as designed. - emission fix noticeably changed car driving characteristics, it made the car feel unsafe. Pressing gas pedal from stop does not result in smooth power delivery, it is not clear if the car will drive or not for 2 sec.
Vehicle has auto engine off when stopped. Feature is on by default. Driver must remember to cut feature off each time vehicle is cranked. On several occasions this feature has been hazardous. When stopping on open road to turn across traffic the steering wheel binds when power is lost. When in line at drive thrus or in slow traffic, vehicle lunges as the engine starts back. The default for this feature should be off. It is a safety issue and we are told by dealer decision was in response to support published epa fuel standards.
Acc/ pas unavailable warning: approximately eight months ago while driving on a city street in sarasota, FL the pas system was activated and abruptly stopped my vehicle without reason. On two separate occasions the "acc/pas is unavailable" warning has appeared on my instrument panel. On the first occasion, a vehicle to my left was attempting to merge into my lane of traffic while we were approaching an intersection on a city street. I attempted to honk my horn (which failed making an audible sound) and swerved to prevent this impending collision. The driver of the vehicle in front of me also witnessed what was occurring and slammed on their breaks. My pas system failed to alert and apply pressure and/or stop the breaks as this safety feature is designed. Despite my efforts to break quickly the vehicle in front of me and I collided. The first driver that merged into my lane fled the scene. There was no damage to the vehicle in front of me and the Porsche had moderate front end damage. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to our insurance company's auto repair express program at a collision center of their choice. It was then sent to our local Porsche service department for inspection and reinstallation and calibration of the pas cameras and operations. On the second occasion approximately 10 days after having the vehicle back from the body shop and inspections, I was sitting at red traffic light on a city street. The light changed green, cars behind me started honking. The car in front of me began to proceed through the light before breaking abruptly. Again the "acc/pas is unavailable" warning appeared on the instrument panel prior to this and my breaks did not respond to my applied pressure. I had not yet accelerated.
The door panel become loose at the edge of the glass. Searching through internet it seem it is a common problem among late Porsche models. It seems the adhesive does not hold well specially in high temperatures.
Posche dashboard leather coming apart at the staples. I was informed that if involved in an accident the airbags might not deploy. The Porsche dealer inspected and recommended replacing it. This issue has been on going with Porsche since it first began within the first few years of owning this brand new vehicle. I was informed that this is a very common issue, and a very serious safety issue with no recall issued as of yet. Please help us.
