I own a 2006 SAAB 9-3 aero wagon with approximately 33,000 miles on the vehicle and the wiper system is broken. The wipers failed while driving at night on a recent trip and we were 200 miles away from home. We had to drive at night in the rain with no way to clear the windshield. The failure was not simply a broken wiper blade as I could have easily repaired that, but instead the wiper linkage broke. The plastic pieces in the system show signs of cracking and will not stay in place.

I have a 2000 SAAB 9-3 convertible. I was cleaning the vehicle and had the driver door open. I saw smoke coming from the area between the front passenger seat and the right door. I opened the right door to find the light fixture in the right quarter panel had fallen out and was burning the seat cover by the air bag. The lamp reflector is metal and burned the seat cover.

I have a 2007 SAAB 9-3. It has a plastic cover/protector under the dash over the pedals. The problem is that my feet constantly get caught by this protector which limits my ability to press on the pedal, especially the brake as my foot may get caught. Similarly I have encountered issues where I cannot release the brake or accelerator for the same reason. There is also a connector there which looks like the connector to connect to the car ecu. This connector sticks out below other points and causes the most interference. It is thin so it is only a problem at certain times, but when it gets in the way it can severely impede my foot. My shoes are not very large at all at a men's size 9, but I keep hitting the cover and connector on my SAAB. I am posting this after the Toyota recalls, since I feel that this can have a similarly dangerous effect on my driving.

Normal driving. Bottom six inches of front right strut coil spring just broke. I have never seen a coil spring just break before. This part is still on the car and I have the broken six inch semi-circular piece. It took almost three months before I discovered where a clicking sound was coming from in the front right suspension.

He drove the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the roof of the 2008 Saabs were redesigned. Two attempts were made to repair the vehicle. 2007 SAAB 9-3 4 door does not allow an infant car seat to be installed. The backseat is too short to allow the infant car seat to be installed . I have contacted baby seat companies and the are all the similar length, my concern is how can a new family car known for safety be allowed on the road and a 4 door not allow me to bring my infant child back from the hospital? why have latches and all the other safety features if one can not fit a infant car seat rear facing? if one spends over 30,000 for a new vehicle I expect to be able to bring a new born child home from the hospital. I called SAAB and they could not give me an answer. There should be a re-call.
The consumer was able to remove the key from the ignition switch while the vehicle was still running. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer replaced the ignition module. The repairs worked fine for two weeks, then the problem recurred. The fuel pump was replaced, the fog and head lights would go out once a month, the traction control was not working properly, the seat belts did not recoil to provide security for the passengers, the clutch pedal did not have the proper pressure when applied, the engine would not "spin over," there was a blown fuel pump fuse, the driver window was inoperative, the sunroof deflector did not collapse when closing the glass causing the glass to re-open on it's own, the driver door panel did not fit the flush to the door panel, the radio and the onstar feature did not work.
