Two problems related to car accelerates on its own have been reported for the 1996 SAAB 900. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Upon shifting from reverse to drive gear, vehicle suddenly accelerated resulting in an accident.
A sudden acceleration was experienced, upon placing transmission into drive position, complete braking and steering was lost as a result.
