Front Air Bag problems of the 1998 SAAB 900

Two problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1998 SAAB 900. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2009

Both airbags deployed for no apparent reason. The srs light illuminated followed by deployment of the passenger bag. The driver side bag deployed approximately 30 seconds after the passenger bag deployed.

2 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 12/19/1999

While driving and no frontal impacts, passenger's airbag deployed unexpectedly which may have causeda loss of vehicle control. Manufacturer and dealer admitted they had a defective design problem. Please provide further information.
