Car Will Not Start Problems of Saturn Aura

I was having trouble with my engine light coming on and reduced engine power and traction control off and throwing codes. Mostly 0641, 0107, 0106 and 1682. I have a code reader and was always able to clear them. I they came back right away I would disconnect the negative cable and that would seem to work. Sometimes I would drive for a couple weeks to a month or two with no problems. Then on Aug. 21, 2017 the engine light came on again and I had a hard time getting it started again. When I did it was running rough. So I drove it to my local dealer, they reset the codes and updated the ecm. The next night I was driving, car was running smooth, no problems. I pulled into a parking lot and the engine light and reduced power and traction off warning came on. It was running rough and stalled. I tried to restart it and the was a fairly loud noise from under the hood. There were codes set 1682, 0452, 0641, and 0107. I tried to clear them with my code reader but they wouldn't clear. I un did the negative cable and that didn't work. I tried to restart the car and all I got was a mild clicking sound I noticed a burning smell from under the hood, so I thought the ecm burnt up. Since I was unable to get it started I called a tow truck and had it towed back to the dealer. The next day the when I contacted the dealer they asked me if I wanted to have the repairs needed from the previous day done. None of the noted repairs had anything to do withe the car dying. I told them to just figure out why the car will not start. While they were working on it I called gm owner assistance because at this point I had some feelings of mistrust. The dealer called me after 3 hours and told me they were not going to charge me the service fee and my engine was seized. I was flabbergasted. While driving and at speeds between 35 mph and 55 mph the car shuts off like the ignition was turned off and when put in to natural while still moving try to start car and it won't crank, it is difficult to get the car off the road and stopped. Car is now in park, try to start and the engine will not crank, needs to set for 30 or so minutes and now will crank. I replaced the ignition relay but did not fix the problem. This has happened to me 6 times in the pass 4 weeks. No documentation.

For two days when starting it made a weird noise but it sounded like the fan to the a/c might be going. Then my warning gauges started appearing warning of my air bag and oil. The next time I went to start the car the car would not start at all and the lights inside the car flashed and the car made a strange noise.

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that while stationary, the vehicle would not start when prompted. Back in Jan 2014 car was put in park at shopping mall parking lot engine shut off exited vehicle security system engaged with remote I was having dinner when police came in to asked who owned the Saturn Aura and that my car was in the middle of the road this was the beginning of the issues . Automatic door locks constantly lock and unlock while driving and while car has been off for hours . Automatic start malfunctioned now car will not start at all even with using the key .

During the winter of 2013 I started noticing my doors weren't always locking automatically when shifting from park into drive as they were supposed to. Then I had an incident in which I parked my car at a mall and couldn't restart (because it was stuck in gear) it but after trying to start the ignition and switching gears I was able to start it again after a few minutes. These events soon lead up to my shifter malfunctioning and the car getting stuck in drive while I was trying to park it on a city street. I was no longer able to shift gears and once turning the car off I could not restart it. After doing some research, I found out about the recall involving the shifter cable tab however, I was never notified by gm. In fact, when I contacted gm I was told that my VIN was not apart of this recall. Both the dealer and gm said I would have to pay for the replacement even though it was a known fact that there were a substantial amount of cars that had this same problem. Eventually the dealer told me that there was a "loophole" that would allow them to replace the part free of charge due to this recall. The fact that I wasn't notified and initially given a hard time by gm is very alarming.

My car was working fine after parking for 10 minutes I came back to start my car and it wouldn't start I called my mechanic and he told me that the wire for shifting of the gears was damaged the carb wouldn't go into park and would roll on its own.

When driving my car will briefly lose power. Gas becomes unresponsive. Once everything kicks back on the transmission will not shift, and dash displays service esc, traction, power steering, abs. After this happens car will not start after it's shut off. Sometimes it just flickers, causing brake lights to stay on, blinkers to cut in and out.

My car has been serviced at the dealer numerous times, for the following issues. Service lights would come on I. E. Engine, traction, air bags, tire pressure, etc. The remote on the car stopped working, and the door locks would open and shut on their own at various times while driving. I continuously have to manually lock the car. On a total of 3 occasions my car would not start. I cut the car off and went to start it again and it would not start at all. While driving the car I came to a complete stop, the car was in drive and as I accelerated the car moved in reverse. Oil leaking. I have taken this car to the shop multiple times within the last few months. Please note it is currently sitting from the last time it would not start. I have receipts totaling over 3,000. 00 for this car in a short period. I took it to the dealership, only to have to take it back a month later and was told I need a new battery. On another occasion when it stopped I had just gotten the car out of the shop and 2 days later it stopped running. I paid for a tow and went to pick it up from the dealer who could find nothing wrong. Then the next week it stopped running again, where it is sitting now. Updated 03/07/lj updated 03/18/2014* js.
