Ignition Switch Problems of Saturn Aura

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the cruise control failed to engage and all of the doors would not automatically unlock when the key was removed from the ignition switch. Also, the contact stated the vehicle jolted whenever the gears shifted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000.

The electrical ignition failed twice on car once in 2009 and in 2015 it had issues in prior years in between dates with ignition switch and keys gm says it is not a recall issue even though other year gms are recalled for ignition switch issues.

2008 Saturn Aura. Consumer writes in regards to ignition switch problems. The consumer stated while driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly stopped. The consumer stated his vehicle, was not on the recalled list, but should be.

Ignition switch problem with Saturn Aura - key will sometimes not go in fully, or will not remove from the ignition without constant playing with the key, shift mechanism and/or ignition itself. Given gm's recent recall on more than 1 million vehicles in the Saturn, Chevrolet and pontiac lineups, I feel this is a lingering issue with my current vehicle. It has happened several times in various weather conditions.
