One problem related to automatic transmission floor shift has been reported for the 2007 Saturn ION. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2007 Saturn aura xe. While the vehicle was parked with the ignition off, it started to roll back in reverse. The contact was able to pull the emergency brake and stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the technicians stated the shift cable was broken and needed to be replaced along with a bracket for the shift cable. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure was mileage 67,000.
