Steering Rack problems of the 2001 Saturn LS

Two problems related to steering rack have been reported for the 2001 Saturn LS. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Steering Rack problem

Failure Date: 03/19/2004

My car is 2001 l 200 and I have had numerious problems with emer. Brake and steering. I have recently had problems with the struat mount, and brake roters. I have only 45,000 miles on the car and have already begun the high repair bills. With no help from Saturn as of yet. I still am trying.

2 Steering Rack problem

Failure Date: 08/27/2001

Consumer states that the vehicle will make a whining noise when turning left. Power steering fluid leaks out of the steering rack. Three racks were installed as original. The power steering fluid leaked at about 12000 miles.
