The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the passenger presence system module was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Another case of gm vehicle where 'service air bag' message appeared and passenger side air bag will not go back on. Dealer diagnosed it as need to replace passenger presence seat assembly because it has failed.

While traveling on the interstate on a rainy day with the windshield wipers on, water entered the vehicle from the windshield on both sides. Water was also dripping from the side air bag location.

In the past few months I have noticed that the passenger side air bag on my 2008 Saturn Outlook says off even when a full sized adult is sitting in the seat. Sometimes if you move around in the seat or get out and then get back in it will come on but there are not guarantees. I took it to my dealer and they informed me that it is a sensor in the seat and that I will have to pay $900 to replace the sensor so that my passenger side air bag will actually function. After searching the web I have found that this is a very common problem and that it needs to be a 'safety recall". It is obvious that it is a wide spread problem with a ridiculous price tag for fixing. An unaffordable price for any average person! if the company cares about safety they will put out a recall and fix this problem. In addition I noticed on several sites that even after the sensor was replaced that the same problem occurred. In my opinion they need to come up with a whole new system for the passenger side airbags. We should be able to feel safe in our own vehicles.

The dealer first said they would pay 30% of the $900 if I covered the rest. They have now decided that they will cover 70% if I cover the remaining $270. Now this seem like a great deal considering the cost is $900 however it is still a safety issue and I don't think I should have to pay anything. I continue to find more complaints about the same problem. It needs to be addressed and a recall needs to be ordered. I will continue to file complaints to every organization that I find until this issue is addressed and it is replaced for free. I didn't damage the sensor it is bad on many Saturn's. And so should be recalled and fixed for safety reasons.

2 weeks after purchasing this vehicle, my passenger side airbags would flash red on and off everytime a passenger was getting in and out of the seat. This is a continue concern for me and the safety of my family. I worry that if the airbag is flashing and not working and we get into an accident that someone would get extremely hurt or even killed. There is currently a recall on this issue, but when I called the Saturn hotline to file a complaint, they stated that "my vehicle/VIN # was not on the recall list". This is ridiculous as this is a safety issue and obviously it should be taken care of free of charge at my local gm dealership since it has a recall.

In carwash and during rain, water runs in through both driver and passenger side airbag ports in the front, through the dvd player, through the passenger side visor, through the top part of the windshield. Following first incident the radio began to short out, indicating the water had effected the electrical system, the dvd player no longer works, and following the first incident the "check airbag system" light came on and has remained on. The dealer cannot tell me if the airbags will work properly. Repairs by the dealer have not resolved the problem. Is this vehicle safe to drive if water is effecting the electrical system and the airbags? I can hear water sloshing around but the water cannot be seen. There is a damp, musty smell in the vehicle leading me to believe that water is pooling somewhere. . . . . . Is it in the airbag system?.

I was driving my 2007 gm Saturn Outlook. The airbags all deployed at the same time. Gm has had my car for investigation for over a month and refuses to pay for a rental. I have neck injury and have been undergoing physical therapy. I had an mri done on Friday. They keep giving me the runaround and I have been out thousands and thousands and my car just sits while they do nothing but ask me to send proof of out of pocket expenses etc. I sent receipt for rental and she sent an email requesting the method of payment that I used. Why is that relevant??.
