Tl the contact owns a 2008 Saturn Sky. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the front passenger's air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was informed that the air bags sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 17v061000 (air bags) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.
I started the car this afternoon and service esc came on.
Got the ignition switch replaced and now the service air bag light wont go off. This results in the passenger side seat and should be a recall!!! the car is not safe to drive with anyone in the car because the air bags will not deploy. I never had this issue until I got the ignition recalled.
Everytime I start my vehicle I get the following messages on the control panel. Service airbag, service traction control, esc off/disabled. There has been no accidents on the vehicle but lack of esc makes controlling the rwd performance vehicle difficult, in addition the service airbag message is further reason for concern.
Riding along and car died couldn't turn key or wheel had to flatbed now my car worn open locks with key or manually sometimes turn key and nothing happens then try again and it starts afraid to lock it changed battery in key and still won't remoter.
