Front end frame rails left and right rusted out by the engine cradle attachment points to rails, both rails must be replaced part # 15842675 , 10367494, part are n. L. A. !!. Tried to fight the rust for few years already, no luck, it took only 4 years since first sign of rust, milage - 115k, garaged all the time,.

37 Body problem of the 2003 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 07/20/2013

The contact owns a 2003 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the front engine mount was completely rusted. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where it was determined that there was an eight inch rust hole of the right side of the engine cradle and multiple small rust areas throughout the engine cradle. The dealer stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was unknown, but the current mileage was 132,404.

The rear driver side door will no longer open from the inside or outside. The door lock button for the door goes up and down when the doors or locked or unlocked and I can hear the mechanism in the door operating.

Failure Date: 09/18/2012

Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the front driver and passenger side interior chrome door handles exhibited a sharp pointed edge. The contact sustained a severe laceration to the left finger from the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. 40 Body problem of the 2003 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 09/03/2012

The contact owns a 2003 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that while driving 25 mph, a bolt broke off the rear driver side wheel causing the sub frame to crack and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who inspected the vehicle and stated that the lower control arm and the sub frame needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 83,000. The VIN was not available.

41 Body problem of the 2007 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 08/31/2012

Car parked and rolled across lot and hit another car. Key can be removed without being in park. 3 additional incidences without crash due to safety function not active have occurred. Was told this model not part of recall. Told to call dealer by gm recall operator and talk to them. Left number at 423 855-0550 to speak with service department. Waiting for call back.

Failure Date: 02/15/2012

The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that while parked, there was a clicking noise as the contact noticed that the driver side door lock had become stuck. The contact stated that then the temperature was cold or the air conditioner was activated on high, the door lock would become stuck. The manufacturer was contacted and scheduled an appointment for the vehicle to be further inspected. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. The current mileage was 88,000. Updated 12/21/lj the consumer stated when the weather is warm, the driver's door lock opens/closes. When it is cold the lock sticks and sometimes will not open. Failure Date: 07/08/2009

The contact owns a 2003 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled while driving 45 mph. Additionally, the front driver and passenger side doors were unable to be opened from the inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnostic testing where the dealer advised that the transmission would need replacing as well as the door hinges. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The transmission was replaced but the doors were not repaired. The failure mileage was 77,000 and the current mileage was 106,000.

The ignition switch will not turn with the factory key to start the ignition. The key has to be jiggled, and/or removed and reinserted several times for this to start the vehicle.

45 Body problem of the 2003 Saturn VUE

Failure Date: 10/25/2003

Consumer states: took in vehicle on 5 separate times for transmission, whining noise was heard, almost like the engine was overheating. Was on highway, and no matter how much gas consumer gave it vehicle wouldn't move. When giving it more gas the engine would rev but still wouldn't go. Before problems with transmission, at a separate time, something with the computer went wrong. It completely shut down. Such as gas gauge showed empty tank and speedometer went to zero. When at a stop idle seems to drop and when accelerating from stop, vehicle hestiates and lurches. Transaxle speed sensor replaced. Transmission control module reprogramed due to whining noise. Hood won't open. Hood cable readjusted. Driver and passenger washer nozzle missing and replaced. Steering wheel making noise. Shaft boot greased. Service engine soon (ses) light on. Oxygen sensor was contaminated and replaced.
