Brake Abs Warning Light Problems of Saturn VUE

Brakes lockup when driving. Abs braking system light comes on. Took it to dealer and they said nothing was wrong. Numerous complaints on the internet. Brakes locked up again after taking to dealer. Please help!! car was in motion at normal speeds 55 mph when this has happened on 3 occasions.

Abs light remains on; my electrical system is faulty; my blinkers work at will. My fuel line sensor causes my vehicle to shut off after driving a distance. There is a noise when I reverse. My service engine light is now appearing and the wheel locks and hard to turn. Read the manual; vehicle does not require power steering fluid. Must contact a dealer per the manual. Will call today. Fuel line issues September 2015 other issues to date 12/28/2015.

The check engine lights was supposed to be due to a catalytic converter was a sure fix, I paid 700 to replace and a day after picking up from my mechanic it is doing it again. It was hesitant at first but then it started again and got worse. The rpm accelerating but speedometer slowing down. I took it back to my mechanic, he read something to me about the replacement of converter, it said to drive it for 1 hour at high speeds to burn off inside the new converter, reset the light which should fix the problem. I had already driven for 1 hour because I live an hour away. I head home and as I¿m getting on the entrance ramp to I-75 something came through my vents and in my throat and chest and I start coughing really bad and tightness in chest. I got up to 55mph and the truck started jerking and I noticed the brake pedal was down to the floor and my brakes locked up. It will not go more than 20-30mph. I pulled over to the shoulder and while still in drive the truck will not move. Check engine, abs and traction lights came on. I called mechanic and he suggested I roll down my windows and get some air because I was coughing so bad and have it towed to be safe. Called onstar and now abs codes, told to take in for service within 7 days, I advised her cannot drive over 20mph and requested a tow. A state trooper stopped to assist me, said to get in safer place so he held traffic and drove behind me to get off interstate while I wait for tow truck. 7:32pm in the midst of rush hour traffic and 50 miles from home. I was horrified! I waited 2 hours for a tow that never showed, had to get a ride home again. Eventually got vehicle to a gm dealer. I rcvd a call from the service dept with a quote of $5k of repairs to include a brake job because rear pads were metal to metal. Had brakes checked 1week before and had 30% left, leads me to believe it was brake dust making me sick.

The contact owns a 2008 Saturn Vue. While driving at any speed, the brakes seized, all of the calibers seized, and the anti-skid and abs warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was contamination in the brake fluid. As a result, the brake pads, the hoses, and the brake fluid were replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however; the contact stated that the failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the brake fluid was flushed and the booster and master cylinder were replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 105,000.

My car has the abs system light on, and there are tons of people with this problem! I have almost gone off the road tons of times when the roads have barely any snow or ice on them, and this is seriously a common problem that should have a recall! the abs system on the Saturn Vues seems to go out all the time, which causes other problems, malfunctioning breaks, bearing degeneration too! I need to constantly change the breaks and now I need new bearings. My car only has 84k miles on it!!! and with my car, my transmission is also going out and that started at 60,000, miles and now its giving me real problems too! so the Saturn Vue 2005 awd v6 car I have. . . Has a common problem of cheap abs system parts going bad, and bad transmissions! both need to be recalled, and addressed by gm.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the ebap solenoid was corroded and the harness body wiring shorted out due to corrosion. The manufacturer was contacted who did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 50,000.
