I don't know if this could really be considered as a complaint,I was just concerned about it and wanted to let someone know about it or see if it needed to be investigated. I have a 2007 Saturn Vue awd v-6,and had washed off the engine of grime and then drove it about 30 minutes later, normally when I've used the a/c before I alway's had cold air blowing out of the vent's,for some unknown reason after I had washed off the engine and turned on the a/c I had no cold air to come out of the vent's,but when I adjusted the knob for the defroster to work,I had cold air,but if I switched the knob back to the vent's,there would be no cold air,so I just put up with it that day. After I got home,I let the car just sit in the carport for about 4 day's before I drove it again, and out of curiosity I turned the a/c on,it was on the vent setting, and the air that was being blown was cold again, the only thing I can figure is,that when I washed the engine off I got some kind of switch wet,and with the car just sitting for several day's and the sun's heat dried out that switch, letting the cold air vent to blow out cold air again. It wasn't a big problem, but it sure was uncomfortable driving that day. This is the first time it's ever happened,I'm assuming that even though when you drive and it's raining the water from the wheel wells can't reach that spot or switch, but if you put water on it from above,it probably will cause this type of problem, your guess would be as good as mine, but that's all I can figure that might of happened,at least I have cold air blowing now!!! thank's for listening to my ranting, you never know someone else might have or has had this type of problem.

When the car is idling, the ac stops altogether. When the car is in motion, it sometimes works and sometimes does not. When it does work, it does run at full capacity and will sometimes even blow hot air even though the ac is turned on. It is hit or miss when turning the vent settings as it doesn't always redirect the air flow. Also, it is hit or miss for the ac to turn off when switched to the off position (hot or cold air may continue to blow).

I have a 2008 Saturn Vue. At 52000 miles my warning light for my temperature overheating came on. My coolant tank was empty. My coolant level sensor did not come on. My temperature light came on only when my tank was empty. I was told by the dealership that my heater core had went out. Because of this coolant leaked under my dash into my car. I was told it had nothing to do with anything I had not done. It just happens. When I was at the dealership a 2007 outlook came in with the same problem. Saturn replaced the heater core at a discount cost to me. I also was having a rattling sound under my hood. No one could tell me what it was. The sound started from the time I bought my Vue in 10/08. It had 22 miles on the Vue at the time. I would call and as if anyone else had this problem and was told no. Each time I would go to take it in to be check, the Vue would not make the sound. I was also told, because it was a new engine it will make sounds until the engine had some miles put on it. When I took it in for the heater core problem, that is when I was told it has the heat shield. It was fixed at a cost to me. My question also is why would it not be covered and why wasn't the heater core cover under the powertrain control system warranty. If the coolant sensor would had came on before the tank was empty, it could have saved my heater core.

The contact owns a 2003 Saturn Vue which was purchased in December 2002. She stated that there were numerous failures with the vehicle. While driving approximately 6 mph through a brush-less car wash, water entered into the sun roof housing. On a separate occasion, she also smelled oil burning and the dealer replaced the right inner cv joint boot. The hazards lights failed to operate normally and were repaired twice due to repeat failures. When she engaged the hazard switch, it collapsed into the dashboard console. The service engine soon light illuminated and the dealer stated that the thermostat failed and it was replaced. All repairs were made to the vehicle per the warranty. The rear lateral link assembly recall number 04067001 2002-2004 Vue rear suspension recall was also replaced. The driver's side window would not close; however, the driver's side switch was replaced. The fuel gauge indicated the improper level of fuel that was in the fuel tank; although, the fuel sending units were replaced. All of the repairs made to the vehicle have failed more than once. The horn would also operate intermittently on its own. The dealer found a shortage in the body control module and replaced the operating design system which forced the mechanic to reprogram the keys to the vehicle. The valve cover gasket failed a second time when the contact smelled oil burning. There were no related recalls for most of the other failed components. The failure mileage was 14,002 and the current mileage was 70,501.

We bought a Saturn Vue in June of 2006. 2 months after we purchased the Vue we had to bring it in for exhaust and converter and oxidation replacement. Then 2 weeks later we had to have the ignition lock cylinders replaced we could not start our truck. Then in 07 we had the converter and manifold replaced. We were told that the manifold was torqued to much from the manufacture. Then June of this year same issue with the exhaust and converter again. Say the replaced a spring in the converter.

Started hearing a noise that I assumed was a rock in my brakes. It turned into a chirping noise for a couple days, which then turned into an awful squealing noise when I started it. I called Saturn for an appointment and had to wait 2 days to get in. They told me the bearings were going out on my air conditioner compressor and they would have to order the part. Now it seems there is no part available and they will have to make one special for my car - which means I'm in a rental car for a minimum of 3 weeks - or so they think. My last Saturn was in the shop for 32 days less than a year ago.
I purchased my 2003 awd v6 Vue new from the same dealership that I take it to for repairs. Since I have owned it, I have reported several times that the vehicle "stalls" while accelerating. Usually around 40 mph. The rpm's rev up (to the red) and the car goes nowhere, like it has suddenly shifted into neutral. This happens while accelerating after a stop. Needless to say, I have had several incidents where I was almost rear-ended. I feel the dealership is trying to resolve the problem, but have been unable to get it to repeat. We are now looking at having one of the service tech drive it for a week or two to see if they can get it to occur. It happens to me at least 3-6 times a month, but intermittently. I do not have a vti transmission. I have two other problems with my Vue that have been unable to be fixed; the first is the steering/alignment. If I hold the steering wheel straight on, the car goes to the left. The dealership will fix the alignment, and within 2 days it off again. I have to steer to the right to keep the vehicle straight. It has never been involved in a wreck and I can see no reason for the alignment to go off so quickly. Secondly, the car makes a loud popping sound when idling if the a/c or heater is on. The dealership says this is normal. It just doesn't seem right. The vents also blow air when the system is off. My Vue has 46,001 miles. I stand behind the vehicle and my dealership. I just wish they could figure out what is causing it to rev out the way it does. It is quite alarming when it happens.
