The heating and ventilation is not functioning properly. This vehicle has automatic climate control. This same condition occurred under the extended warranty. The fan is able to be variably controlled for speed. The cold/hot selector does not change the temperature. The mode selector for the air distribution is stuck on vent mode. I have no heat or front defroster. The warranty fix was a computer re-flash the the h. V. A. C. Programmer. This has been ongoing for 7 days. Static or moving matters not. I do believe all motor vehicle ventilation systems should default to defroster mode! regards, m4rk.

While I was sitting in my car waiting for my daughter to get out of work, the car was running, when there was smoke pouring from the steering column. I immediately shut the car off and the smoke dissipated. This was 2 days ago and now my wipers do not work. My mechanic said that the air bag wires had caught fire and burned out the wipers.

It's my turn signals my locks and my flashers headlights.

I have had electrical and climate control problems since I bought this car. Most of the a/c components have been replaced. Now I don't have any a/c at all. I've also had heating problems that required two different repairs which were very expensive. My car is garage kept, well maintained and it only has 30,000.

The passenger wiper arm disconnected from the motor while I was driving in the rain. Lucky I was near my home at the time.

The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the air conditioning and heater blower was causing the front window of the vehicle to fog and freeze on several occasion. The technician stated that the evaporator temperature sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage 119,000. Windshield wipers shut off randomly while driving. This has been going on since we bought the car in 2015.

Occasionally there has been a line of smoke coming from my steering column when I start the car. Now my windshield wipers will not turn off unless I remove the fuse. I am concerned about a fire and will be getting it fixed, however I have read of other Saturn owners having this same problem. So I know mine is not the only car out there to have this problem.

1. Engine would stall when turn on have to turn the key twice at any location. 2. Power steering when out driving on the freeway 3. Door handle on my driver side came off.

On a rainy day the wipers will stop working then eventually start back up. While using the delay wipers they would work half the time, sometimes go fast, and even stop. You just never know if they will work which is really scary on heavy rains.

The rear defroster does not work. When you press the rear defroster windshield wiper fluid pours out of the vehicle. No defrosting happens.

I have reported this to the dealership with my warranty an know it has expired an my car is getting worse itis completely pulling back while driving I feel like my life is in danger I need some help. .

The Saturn Vue I own is a 4 cylinder and the heater core is cracked just as gm's document id[xxx] describes. I started to smell antifreeze coming from the vents, on about 9-3 we have gone to a restaurant that night and when we came out to go home, the inside of the windshield was fogged up, I tried to use the defrost setting to clear the windshield but it had no effect, I had no rag to wipe the inside of the windshield so I wiper it with my hand to get some visibility, I was forced to stop several times on the way home to clear the windshield by hand. I called Saturn gm concerning the issue and they had me take the car to a gm dealer who confirmed that the heater core is cracked. Gm claims they have a customer satisfaction program to fix this issue so the heater core will not crack but they claim that my car is not in the programs group. The program reroutes the heater hoses so that internal pressure build up is reduced to a safe level and prevents the heater core from cracking the programs number is #09206a. From what I can find out the program started in 2009 and was to end 1-2011 but it has now been extended to 1-31-2012. As I said above they claim that the defect is for a group of Vues with serial numbers 8s500002 to 8s645537 which would not include my car. If you read #09206a it describes what has happen to my heater. They state in this document " we have learned that your 2008 model year Saturn Vue, equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, may have been built with a heater core that could eventually fracture due to pressure fluctuations within the heater core. If the heater core fractures, you would notice a strong coolant smell, vapor or mist coming out of the heater vents, and or an oily film on the windshield. " this is what is happening to my Vue confirmed by the gm dealer and reported to gm. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2008 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that while driving, the windshield wipers stopped functioning and the driver began to hear a clunking noise. The contact inspected the vehicle and realized that the plastic bushing was cracked. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who diagnosed that the wipers transmission was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 81,782 and the current mileage was 81,800.

While on a trip driving from central arkansas to wisconsin, the wiper motor went out and caused the front wipers to stop in the middle of the windshield. And of course this started happening while it was raining. There was no way for the wipers to go back down to their proper position. While in wisconsin I tried to schedule an appointment while the local certified Saturn dealership but they said it would be over a week before they could get me in. We had to drive all of the way back to arkansas with the wipers not working and stuck in the middle of the windshield, obstructing the view. The cost to have it fixed was over $500 and had to drive 1 hr away to get the car to the certified Saturn dealership.

The failure occurred during rainy weather conditions. In addition, the passenger's side power door locks failed to operate properly and the odometer gauge failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to locate the problem. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. The VIN was not available.

It was raining on March 22nd and I was driving with my front wipers going and my passenger side wiper just stopped working!!!! I don't understand why it happened and how it could happen but I'm looking at an expensive fix.

The defrost button flashes and deactivates during freezing temperatures preventing the windows from defogging.

When I'd use the windshield wipers, I lose all power to the drivers side headlight and the blinker would not work,all while the fluid is running out the back windshield wper connection. I had the Vue in for the same issue 4 times and was told this was a warranty issueat the beginning and when they finally fixed the grounding box and replaced the so called lifetime headlamp, I was charged 364. 00. Not warranty covered. This started at around 36,000. Gm screwed us Saturn owners big time.

I have an 03 Saturn Vue with multiple issues. I should have complained years ago but I am only now seeing the blogs regarding this dangerous hideous vehicle. The back window wiper blades work whenever, sporadically; the emergency flashers are inoperable most of the time, the button that turns them on is defective,;the electrical system- caution lights come on and off;reduced power light comes on and the car will not accelerate in heavy traffic. I have had some close calls in this vehicle and I realized it should of not been allowed to be on the road. It is a disaster. Why are our tax dollars bailing out companies like gm when they make such defective, death traps as this? something is truly wrong here. Run from the Saturn Vue -hopefully it will not be on the road much longer but I just don't want to be one of its casualties.

In below zero weather window washer fluid does not come out. I have been told that this is true with most gm vehicles and the auto companies know it but have not put out a bulletin. I have been told that if you take the car to the dealer they will tell you that for certain years the manufacture make the tube for the fluid smaller and so it freezes. I have been told that the manufacturers fixed this on later models. I have been told that the dealer will offer some sort of concentrated wiper solution that won't freeze. I find it ridiculous that I can't find anything about this on your site as I know at least 10 people with gm cars that have the same problem.
