Vehicle Speed Control Problems of Subaru Crosstrek - part 2

The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. While the contact was attempting to park the vehicle, the engine suddenly revved and the vehicle accelerated and crashed into a concrete barrier. The dealer (della Subaru, 5105 u. S. Ave, plattsburgh, NY 12901, (518) 324-8400) denied any knowledge of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 90,000. The VIN was unknown.

From a stop or at low speeds, when you press the gas pedal there is a delay of approximately 1. 5 seconds before the engine responds. This is particularly dangerous when pulling out into traffic from a driveway, or if you need to quickly maneuver to avoid a collision. Subaru technicians have inspected the vehicle, and they say nothing is wrong mechanically. I believe this is a flaw in the ecm programming. A quick google search reveals hundreds of other people have the same problem with various models of Subaru. While stopping at a traffic light and foot removed from the gas pedal, the transmission surged violently. Had to apply brakes as car was trying to move forward into a highway. Managed to shift in park and surge eventually stopped. First time I took the car to the dealer,they said nothing wrong. It has happened again while to park. This time I had to shut the engine off. Flawed design, feel very unsafe in this car.

April 2018 while driving on the highway the gas pedal suddenly stopped functioning but the engine was still running at idle. Restarting the car fixed the issue but it happened again 10min later. Both instances almost caused an accident. After the second time it happened the car would not start and it had to be towed to a dealership. The dealership said that nothing was wrong with it and returned the vehicle, now one month later the accelerator stopped functioning while driving on the highway almost causing an accident. The vehicle would not start and had to be towed to dealer.

I was slowly pulling into the garage and when I went to apply the brakes, the car uncontrollably lunged forward and hit the car in front of me. The floor mat was not an issue and was secure. Although the brakes were being applied, the car suddenly lunged forward.

Pulling into parking space at work, going no more than 5 mph. Vehicles lunged forward and hit tree. The engine seemed to slow down and then revved suddenly. Although I hit the brakes, vehicle did not stop.

Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Subaru xv Crosstrek. The contact stated that when driving with two feet, and once his foot releases off the brake pedal the accelerator hesitates for 3 to 4 second without warning and resumes back to normal. The failure was experienced several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer servco Toyota honolulu 2850 pukoloa st #200, honolulu, hi 96819 (808) 564-1100 where a diagnosed test was performed, which was unable to locate a failure code. The vehicle was also test driven and the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000. Ck.
