1 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/06/2026

The speedometer and the entire dashboard goes haywire when driving. It’s impossible to know what speed I’m going, no inspection yet. The cruise control light is on and won’t go off. I’m not sure if it’s on or not which is unfastened and could cause other issues. The check engine light goes on and off as well as the brake and abs lights. There is no telling what could be wrong with those lights. It gets hard to brake when the brake light and the abs light is on. Also the transmission gets stuck and I can’t reverse the car or put it in park unless I turn the car off with my foot on the brake and shift in to park turn the car back on and now I’m able to reverse. That’s dangerous when trying to park on a busy road or parking lot.

2 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2022

The contact owns a 2010 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle would not start. The contact was able to jump start the vehicle and the vehicle was able to start and no warning light illuminated. The contact replaced the battery to the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no failure was found, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnose. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 90,000.

3 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2012

The passenger side airbag on my 2010 Subaru Impreza is intermittently disabled, even with a 125 pound adult occupying the seat. Shifting your weight in the seat may enable the airbag, but it will usually become disabled again while driving. This seems like a potential safety hazard and is very concerning. I've seen similar complaints on different websites; is Subaru considering a recall or does someone have to get injured first?.
