My front passengers side windshield cracked. A tiny rock came up and made a 10 inch crack.
Yesterday when I left work there was a long crack starting from the top and middle of the windshield, down about 8 inches before it takes a large c shaped turn ~24inches total. No obvious sign of impact, nor did I hit anything or hear anything while I was driving yesterday work. This was not there when I got to work and I park in a parking lot that doesn't have much traffic so nobody would have been there to damage it.

Windshield cracked when I set down the windshield wiper after cleaning it. Not covered by warranty, had to pay out of pocket.
This is in regards to the Subaru windshield lawsuit. Sometime in late may of 2020, I found my parked car on the street outside my apartment with a crack that spanned over 12"on the front windshield. There was no sign of what caused the crack. Over the next few weeks the crack continued to grow across the windshield. I had it replaced July 7, 2020, at that time of it was over 24" long. I was told by my local window repair shop that Subaru had to be the ones to replace the windshield because they would be the ones that needed to recalibrate the computer system that connected to the windshield.

I have a 2019 Impreza. Had the car 6 months and had to replace the windshield. A stray rock hit the car while going about 35 mph. Saw nothing when it happened. The next day a giant crack across my windshield. This is bogus.
I purchased a used 2017 Subaru Impreza in April of 2020. The windshield has been broken twice since then. The online photos showed it with an intact windshield. When it was brought to my home for a test drive it had multiple cracks on the windshield and the dealer stated that they had to replace it when we purchased it as they were in the line of site for the driver and a safety hazard. After a few weeks of not driving the car other than to get groceries during covid the new windshield that the dealer had just replace cracked. There is no stone pit, it simply cracked on its own. This crack runs from the upper passenger corner for approximately 18 toward the middle and bottom of the windshield. It appears to either be stress or thermal related. Two windshield cracks that don't appear to be from a rock in a months time seem like a possible defect to me. The crack I noticed grow without recalling a specific incident that started it. The dealer is now trying to offer a 5 year crystal fusion treatment and warranty for $995. Some online searching on this makes that seem like a scam at best. The disclaimer on the form states that they won't replace the windshield if breakage is part of a factory defect, which it is looking like they could state. I want to replace my windshield that is cracked, but would like some reassurance that it won't break nearly immediately again and would like Subaru or the dealer to stand behind these vehicles as this appears to be a widespread and systematic issue.
I woke up one morning and went out to go to work to discover that a crack had formed in the windshield. It started from the lower frit. This is the second time a windshield on this car has cracked and both were Subaru branded carlex windshields. The first windshield was from the factory, obviously, and the second one was installed at a Subaru dealership. Really annoying since I've only had the car for 14 months.
Windshield cracked from the lower left side of the windshield and is moving upward and across the windshield. There is no reason for the crack it just happened on its own. It happened while parked over night.
Driving down the highway and the glass cracked seemingly for no reason.
Bought the car 12/21 first windshield cracked 1/28 while sitting in my driveway over the weekend. Dealer claims there was a chip caused by a rock but I think the "chip" was caused by the cracking of the windshield dropped off at dealer 2/4 the first replacement is broken takes a week to get another picked up 2/11 $500 replacement windshield cracked 2/20 - while driving. I did not see or hear anything impact the windshield but I did here the glass crack. I feel that these windshields are unreasonably fragile and should last longer than 9 days under normal usage.
My windshield cracked in one corner for no reason. I'm worried about the stability of the entire windshield. The car was parked in a locked garage when this occurred.
Windshield has cracked on various occasions.
Only a few months after leasing a brand new 2019 Subaru Impreza sport, I was driving on a highway I have taken 100's of times and a small rock hit my windshield. This caused my windshield to crack and keep splitting until it covered a good 2 feet of the glass. This continued after the car was parked. I had to pay my deductible to have the windshield replaced. I thought this was odd because I have never had this happen to any other vehicle, especially so easily.
Weak windshield cracked like every other Subaru owners I know of this generation.
Windshield spontaneously cracked for no reason.
Spot welds to the firewall fail/break for the clutch and brake pedale assembly so itlll have a delay in actuation over time due to the welds breaking and because of that the assembly bar will fracture and break over time which will need to be replaced or else braking actuation will be delayed when pressed, this is all while in motion over time of pressing and depressing, popular complaint and issue known that outside companies sell brackets to help with the welds failing and the assembly cracking.

Broken firewall clutch bracket welds.
A crack appeared in the middle of my windshield, coming up from the bottom, after no impact, while parked at a gas pump. When parked in the sun the next day the crack grew from a linear 8 inches to a linear 18 curved from a vertical crack to a horizontal crack after the first 9 inches. Subaru apparently has windshields on back-order so the car in unable to be driven without reduced visibility for an extended amount of time until they can get a Subaru windshield to replace my mysteriously cracked one, without voiding the warranty.

Driving at low speed and hit a small bump in very cold weather (5f). Windshield made a popping sound . The car was parked a week later when the windshield developed a spontaneous crack along the drivers side frame. There was absolutely no impact. This is a serious safety and manufacturing issue that needs to be addressed. Other folks are reporting a similar issue with these vehicles.
Chassis fatigue and cracking resulting in damage/potential compromise of driver controls. Welds for clutch bracket have failed resulting in cracking of firewall.

I own a 2008 Subaru Impreza wrx with a stock clutch. For approximately 2 years I have been hearing creaking and/or clicking noises when engaging the clutch pedal. In April of 2013 chatham Subaru in GA replaced my clutch due to the metal clutch fork wearing through at the pivot point within the bell-housing. They also noted a very hard clutch pedal and spongy brakes before the repair. They replaced the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, fork and master cylinder (I replaced the slave cylinder before I brought it in) all of which I paid for. Initially the clutch felt great (brake feel was unchanged), but has since began to harden again. . Read more...
Fire wall where the clutch master cilinder sits moves in and out when clutch is depressed making a cracking noice, and causing fire wall metal tomexpand.
The clutch pedal on my 2008 wrx makes a loud creaking noise every time it's depressed (it will also pop if cold out). After reading other complaints online I found the entire clutch pedal bracket assembly (attached to the forward firewall) shifts approx 1/4 inch every time the clutch pedal is depressed, also causing the brake pedal to flex to the left. I can see at least two of my three spot welds securing the clutch pedal bracket to the forward firewall are broken. The whole clutch pedal assembly pulls away from the firewall every time the clutch pedal is depressed, the slave cylinder unit visibly moves. This allows the entire clutch pedal bracket assembly to move, causing the creaking noise. If the bracket completely separates from the firewall, the clutch may become completely inoperative, it already frequently feels like I cannot push the clutch in far enough to get it into gear. Feedback from the online forums shows Subaru is not addressing the problem of the faulty welds leading to expensive consumer repairs or alternative diy fixes.
