The contact owns a 2002 Subaru Impreza. When the contact started the vehicle, there was a burning oil odor. When the accelerator pedal was depressed, the rear of the vehicle began to emit a loud vibrating noise. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the exhaust from the convector rear muffler, gasket bolt, and dry belt needed to be replaced. In addition, the front subframe was rotted and the head gaskets were fractured, which caused an oil leak. All the parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. There is a clicking and popping noise coming from under my dash board on the driver side only when pressing and releasing the clutch. Also, the clutch master cylinder is moving due to flex on the fire wall. This is a known problem to Subaru of America and its engineering department and they have also fixed cars with this problem. My car has not been fixed because they have so far yet refused to fix it. The main fault is the clutch pedal bracket which is welded to the bulkhead has a bad weld which can lead to the driver being unable to clutch the car posing a safety issue and the possibility of an accident incurring.

I hit a bear at 55mph with the cruise control on. The bear leaped off the bank in directly in front of the vehicle. The crash that resulted in the bear being killed instantly, about 600 lbs. Of bear. The car came to an instant halt with the front end being pushed back, lights,grille,fender, hood, ect. No air bags deployed. After calling Subaru of America, I was advised to let my insurance handle it, but after much argument was assigned a case number of 1020805 by Subaru. This is not a insurance problem, this is Subaru problem. The vehicle was towed back to first team in roanoke virginia and the collision shop advised me to contact Subaru.
