The contact owns a 2015 Subaru Impreza. While driving 55 mph, the sun roof suddenly exploded without warning. The glass shattered and fell inside the vehicle. The contact was not injured. The contact stated that the sun roof blocked the windshield, which made it extremely difficult for the contact to see the roadway. While driving home to denver, CO from durango, outside of bayfield, we heard what sounded like a gunshot overhead and immediately pulled over. My sunroof had exploded outward. There was no other traffic on the road. The sunshade (?) was closed, so no glass fell into the car. Half the glass was gone, and what was still attached was completely shattered.

2004 wrx sun roof has a smell like mildew. 3 repairs have been done (detail, sunroof door replacement, headliner replacement) and the smell is still there months later. Subaru has told me that is the normal smell, even after $1500 in covered repairs. It is far from a new car smell, more like mildew.
