1 Tire problem of the 2024 Subaru Impreza

Failure Date: 07/27/2025

Yokohama avid (front x2) 4ut76ex1623 and (rear x2) 4ut7ex1723 225/40r18 while the passenger front (4ut76ex1623) tire completely blew out the sidewall after third party inspection all 4 tires on my new 2024 Subaru Impreza are failing per the tire technician "after inspection it appears that all four tires show significant premature tire wear on the vehicle". Alignment preformed April 10, 2025 by dch Subaru of riverside and again alignment and suspension were checked the day after blowout of tire on July 28,2025 by american tire depot " no issue found with the vehicles suspension and alignment is within specs at this time". I was driving on a mountain road approximately 25 mph when blowout occurred. Significant pop sound heard and vehicle tps system immediately alerted us that the tire pressure dropped to 0. Tires had been maintaining tire pressure well before the incident. The "significant premature tire wear" is indicated by a noticeable crack that appears around the sidewall of all four tires as well as the steel cord showing significantly along the inner wall of the tire that blew out. This was only visible after removing the flat tire to apply the spare.

2 Tire problem of the 2024 Subaru Impreza

Failure Date: 06/22/2025

Front driver side tire sidewall bubbled at 7900 miles on a 2024 Subaru Impreza on June 22nd. They are the original equipment tires: yokohama advan s34p p225/40r18 88v. A sidewall bubble is a sign of a structural failure and indicates the tire will eventually blow out. This can lead to loss of control as well as sending debris towards other road users. No warnings or tire pressure changes occurred. There was no impact, only normal highway driving prior to the damage. The damage was not present prior to 300 mile road trip, but was present upon arrival at our destination. The problem was immediately reported to capitaland Subaru who the vehicle is leased from. Initially they refused to let me bring it in. Eventually they did get me an appointment for June 30th, and they allegedly inspected the tire at that time. They told me to keep driving on it until the warranty replacement was approved. A warranty case was never opened by the dealer. 17 days later, I received a call from the dealer saying I must open the case with yokohama myself. The vehicle comes with a sealed kit of owner's documents and booklets including tire warranty information, but it contains goodyear and bridgestone warranty info and not yokohama, which is the oem tire on Subaru Imprezas. I had no info on my warranty nor a guide on how to submit such a claim. After searching online, I did so and gave the case number to the dealer, but I have not gotten any notification since. It has been well over a month and I've logged over 1300 miles on the damaged tire. The car now has significant vibration coming through the steering wheel as of 7/30/25. Dealer was supposed to provide a loaner but did not. The manager has made no attempt to address the issue. A complaint has been filed with Subaru corporate as well.

3 Tire problem of the 2022 Subaru Impreza

Failure Date: 02/22/2025

Driving between 40-50mph on streets, my tire burst and the rubber part completely shredded off. I just had my tires checked a couple weeks ago where they said everything was great. This tire completely disintegrated out of nowhere and nearly damaged my rim! the tire guy said there's no way this happened from a nail or road injury to the tire.

7 Tire problem of the 2021 Subaru Impreza

Failure Date: 05/19/2021

Tiers are yokohama p225/40r18 88v this vehicle now has slightly more than 8,000 miles and has only been driven over local roads under normal operating conditions and speeds. A couple of weeks ago, while getting gas, I noticed a knot/bulge developing on front driver's side sidewall. The integrity of the tire was compromised so I contacted the dealership and arranged to have the tire replaced. I can produce the dealership repair bill upon request. Yesterday while taking my wife to an appointment, I noticed a knot/bulge developing on rear driver's side sidewall requiring another trip to the dealership and another tire replacement. I can take a photo of bulge in rear tire or have dealership preserve the tire if you would like it for your investigation of my complaint. Fortunately I have the resources to have the tires repaired. In my case the bulges appeared in the sidewall visible to me. I knew that integrity of the tire was compromised and immediate action was necessary. I am more than 60 years old. I have owned several new cars and this is the first time I have experienced this. It is possible that other motorists encountering the same problem may not have the resources to purchase multiple replacement tires. It is also possible that the bulge might appear on the backside of the sidewall where it would not be noticed. It is possible that another motorist might not recognize the integrity of the tire was compromised and that their life and the lives of others were potentially at risk.

9 Tire problem of the 2011 Subaru Impreza

Failure Date: 05/29/2015

Continental extreme contact dw tires that came with used Subaru have almost no wear on tread, but when I asked that they be swapped with the car's winter tires, technician said they weren't safe because of cracks in the treads. These tires are only 2 years old, manufactured in March 2013, and have been stored in covered shed since late last fall (so no excuse for sunlight degradation). Continental's warrantee is only for original buyer, so we're out of luck. Definitely will not replace these with connentals!!!!.

12 Tire problem of the 2005 Subaru Impreza

Failure Date: 11/27/2005

I have two Subarus with bridgestone potenza tires on them. On two separate occasions, I experienced flat tires with them. On both occasions, they went flat so fast, I couldn't even get to the shoulder of the road before I was riding on the rim. I have never had tires go flat so fast. In both cases the cause was a screw in the tread.

14 Tire problem of the 2001 Subaru Impreza

Failure Date: 03/08/2001

First off the roads were wet from a previous rain and there was no standing water. I was turning a left hand corner from 3040 onto service road of I-35e south. While in the turn I hydro planed into the curb. I called for a wrecker and while loading the car I've found that 2 of the 4 tires were put on backwards. The right front tire and the left rear. There is a rotation arrow on them. I called b. F goodrich and they said that the tire being put on backwards could hinder the rain shedding of the tire. Have pictures of the tires on backwards and a estimate of the damage. (tiresize: 235/50zr16)( dot number: tire size: 235/50zr16 ).
