Severe steering wheel/front end shimmy about 60+ mph with normal driving. Pretty much a constant oscillation at road speed. Road force balancing of no help, nor do new tires have any effect. For goodness sake, NHTSA, please start a formal investigation of this significant and prevalent problem. . . Please.

2 Front Suspension problem of the 2000 Subaru Legacy

Failure Date: 01/01/2001

Vehicle pulled to left, most noticeably at highway speed. Defect did not allow consumer to have full control of vehicle, and could cause an automobile accident. Dealer recognized problem, but has not provided remedy.

3 Front Suspension problem of the 2001 Subaru Legacy

Failure Date: 10/19/2000

Vehicle pulls severally to right upon acceleration, and has had this problem since delivery. I have had car back to dealer four separate times and still not fixed. Unexplained by Subaru corporation.

4 Front Suspension problem of the 1998 Subaru Legacy

Failure Date: 06/14/1998

When driving at 45 mph vehicle veered to the right and lifted up, and all power went to the front side. Consumer applied abs brakes, and vehicle wouldn't stop, causing vehicle to skid and run into a house. Upon impact, driver's side and passenger's side air bags didn't deploy.

6 Front Suspension problem of the 2000 Subaru Legacy

While braking the vehicle veers to the right. Nlm.

7 Front Suspension problem of the 1998 Subaru Legacy

Defect within vehicle is causing the front of vehicle to shake, including steering wheel when vehicle is being driven at least 58-68 mph. Also pulls to right. Dealer also changed transmission bracket and angle of driveshaft, and put in new wheels and rims. Vehicle is still shaking.

8 Front Suspension problem of the 1998 Subaru Legacy

Upon driving on all terrains vehicle pulls to the right. Subaru claimed that pulling to the right is due to a design feature, and they refused to perform additional service on vehicle.
