The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Legacy. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, there was a clicking sound coming from underneath the vehicle, and the vehicle swayed slightly before coming to a stop. The failure became more persistent, and the clicking sound became louder within a week. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who determined that the frame had severe rust that had created a hole near the ball joints on the driver’s side front wheel and informed the contact that the vehicle was not safe to drive. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 130,000.

The brake and gas pedals on automatic transmission Subaru Legacy models are so close together that a man of average shoe size, wearing boots of any kind, is liable to inadvertently apply pressure to both pedals at the same time. The "fix" is simple: Subaru of America should hang the manual transmission brake pedal, with its smaller pad footprint, on all automatic transmission Legacy models. Problem solved. While driving my vehicle, and if wearing boots, I must maintain constant vigilance to avoid the potentially lethal consequence of applying pressure to both pedals at the same time.
Rear-ended by driver coming at fast speed, shoved us into car in front of us twice, although I had my foot firmly on brake. No airbags deployed. My right knee was rammed into the sharp, hard plastic area under the steering wheel, which resulted in a deep cut and bruises which ended up being diagnosed as torn acl/miniscus and a fracture. I underwent surgery in order to repair my knee. Shortly after surgery, I received a recall regarding the airbags in the car and a component was replaced in the steering column. I believe that the area under the steering wheel of the 2010 Subaru Legacy is dangerous and needs to be modified.

Gasoline filler tube on Subaru Legacy models (1994 & 1997) rust out and cause very serious danger from possible fire/explosion due to leaking fuel. This appears to be a very common problem for Subaru owners and costly ($350+) to repair. This part was replaced on both a 1994 and a 1997 Subaru Legacy and the repair shop indicated that this is a common problem that they have dealt with quite often. I feel the problem is very dangerous and should be addressed by the manufacturer.

Opened driver side door one night and as I was pulling door open I was talking to someone who was outside of the car and hit my neck on the window since it has no frame. It was dark, couldn't see the clear glass and never gave it a thought. The window caught my neck at an angle exactly where I had surgery in '07. It hurt and scared me a lot and I thought it did something to my throat. Thank goodness it didn't. If it happened just after my surgery, it could have ripped my neck open. I have never had a car with no window frames before. If I had any idea that something like this could happen, I would not have purchased it. I have gone to two Subaru dealerships with my concerns and have tried to trade it, but of course, the trade in value makes it impossible. So for the moment I'm stuck with it, but it makes me nervous. I don't know if this has ever happened to anyone else, but I sure hope it doesnt happen to me again. Thank you.

I own a 2003 Subaru Legacy sedan. As I pick up speed you can hear an increasing wind noise coming from around the front 2 windows. At speeds of 65 mph and above it gets really bad and it starts sounding like a ref blowing his whistle. I take many trips on the interstate and it get really bad and it gets worse if the wind is blowing. This is the only problem I had other than the transmission hesitating and shifting hard upon starting off in drive. Other than these 2 problems in is a great car.

I have a 2003 Subaru Legacy sedan; and while traveling on roads with speed limits of 45 mph or more, I hear swishes from the 2 front windows. They sound as if I have them rolled down just slightly enough to where this constant, and very annoying, whooshing is heard. I travel on the highway everywhere I go, and this sound increases as velocity is increased. It's so I'm constantly checking the power buttons to my windows to see if I have them rolled up all the way. One day me and 3 other family members; rode in my car to spend the afternoon together and once we hit the highway, they all commented on the annoying noise. They even asked if my windows were rolled up tightly. Most of the time, it's superlative to the music coming from my radio. *.
In heavy rains, water comes into the vehicle resealed the rear window, however still continues.

Problems with vehicle's braking system, rear tire, whistling noises coming from door and oil leak. The dealership repaired everything except the wheel. The rear hatch was adjusted for whistling noises, and the brakes were dusted off to repair the brake system. The oil filter was replaced and the seat bolts were tightened to eliminated the seats from moving while driving.
