The contact owns a 2010 Subaru Outback. While driving at an unknown speed, the parking brake warning light illuminated and flashed. The dealer stated that the parking brake actuator was faulty. After leaving the dealer, the parking brake engaged inadvertently while driving 5 mph. The failure caused the vehicle to come to a stop. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 20,000.
