On March 6th 2018 I was involved in an accident with a Volkswagen gti I was sitting in the left turn lane in the intersection waiting for traffic to clear so I could proceed when I did I was going approximately 5 miles per hour on a city street when a red light runner of course ran the red light and plowed into me going approximately 50 miles an hour . On impact the seatbelt failed to do what it was designed to do. Instead it immediately unlatched which in turn caused me to be thrown into the passenger door, the dash and the back seat.

One of my children was buckled in the back passenger seat. My child tightened his seat belt, and the buckle detached from the fabric. This is very unsafe, my car has almost 57k on it. There is no reason for this to happen and is a huge safety concern that should be corrected ASAP! this situation could have been way worse! thank god I was not driving or in a accident!.
The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. While attempting to secure the driver's seat belt, the seat belt failed to latch. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 178,000.

I was driving down my street in my 2007 Suzuki Forenza with 71,510 miles, then on the panle it started flashing (p,n,d with a diagnel line through them) and I took it to autozone and they said it was the transmission. . .
I keep having to stick a key in my shift lock just to get the car out of park and has been occuring for a while now. The part you put the seat belt into when you put it on keeps sticking down so you can't wear a seat belt sometimes and I have had to replace my transmission range sensor about every 3 months since I have had the car which is ridiculous.
I was driving on the interstate and just passed a semi truck going about 65 mph and then my car suddenly switched gears into neutral on it's own. I was able to pull over to the side of the road safely and restart the car a couple times for it to reset and go back to normal. I was on my way to the dealership when this incident occurred. There had been an issue with the park/neutral switch previously in my car but this was the first time that the gear switched while I was driving and not when I first started the car and put it into gear. That had happened frequently when I started the car and put it in drive but it said it was in neutral but then after a couple restarts it would reset and work correctly for a little while before it happened again. Once I replaced that switch I haven't been having any issues with it again so far. Now I'm just dealing with the power locks sticking and locking on their own (the guy at the dealership mentioned that problem three years ago when I bought the car but only now am I having that issue) and also the driver's seat belt not staying fastened when I first click it. It finally does after jiggling it a little bit.

I was driven when the right side headlight was stoped.
The contact owns 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The contact stated that the driver and passenger's side seat belts malfunctioned on separate occasions due to a faulty buckle assembly. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer where it was advised that the buckle assembly needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 07v315000 (seat belts). The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 52,000.
Headlamp just stopped working . I changed the relay then the fuse and also the light itself still not working I know there was a eall on the model of the year before, I can only assume that they used those parts for my car. .
We just bought this car in August 2012. Since then my seat belt button turned on and took it to the Suzuki dealer and they fixed it. Also the passenger air bag also and they fixed it. Then took it to the dealer to get the oil changed and they said I had a radiator leak ( I wonder how true was that sometimes) repaired it and it cost $400. . . . Now when I was driving the car check engine light turned on and now it was the gas cap that needed to be replaced!!! wth so we replaced that part. Now after we fix that, guess what also starts happening the car just starts to slow down and again check engine light turns on!!! we take it to get a diagnosis and it gives us p0705 p0700 and that now is the transmission range sensor!!! this is crazy!! hopefully nothing else will go wrong. . . . . I feel that Suzuki should have a recall on this transmission range sensor especially. . As I see. . . Many people are going through this and people should be compensated for the money that we all have wasted and frustration we are all going through. . . . Suzuki needs to fix this problem. . .
It started havin a shift malfunction from 3 to 4 gear and now quite often just revs up instead of going, passenger seat belt often releases on its own, and the passenger airbag is constantly on.
I brought a brand new 2007 Suzuki Forenza in 2007 and since then have had problems ever since. In the first week I brought it the timing belt had broke. Soon after the transmission messed up and was told the engine needed to be rebuilt. Thanks to my extended vehicle warranty (not by Suzuki) I was able to get this fixed without paying out of pocket. Now not even two years later I am being told that the front strut mount and struts are going bad and need to be replaced (estimated at $687. 00). In addition to that all four of my door handles are broken and have been for some time after breaking off with a simple touch. With the paint chipping off on the outside door handles as well. I have no money to pay for all the repairs on this vehicle as I have been paying it on for the last five years and it is almost paid for but I cannot continue to endure countless repairs I am having to go through while driving this car. I do not go anyway except from work to home in my car and I do not understand why I am having all of these problems when the car was suppose to be brand new when I bought it. I am afraid to drive this car even as simple as going to the store because I do not know what will happen. I will never buy another Suzuki again.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the seatbelt became unsecured independently. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was included in and repaired six years ago under NHTSA campaign id number: 07v315000 (seat belts). The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 122,000. Kmj.
I purchased this car used from carmax in October. Since then it has been in the shop 3 times for airbag lights. The airbag light has now been on for 2 months and I have not had time do get it fixed. The airbag light has been on since I purchased it, the seatbelt light also comes on frequently. This concerns me because the cars safety is so poor- with airbag system being deactivated and seatbelts being out of whack, this car is a death trap! I went to carmax to see if they could help me and the manager wouldn't even take my name.
Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Suzuki Forenza. The contact stated that the rear left passenger seat belt would not lock into it's harness and would not retract. The vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000. The current mileage was approximately 60,000. The VIN was unavailable. Tb.
The tcm switch on my 2008 Suzuki Forenza was replaced in November of 2010 and was found by an authorized service center for Suzuki as being defected. I was told that it caused the transmission to switch itself into neutral, which caused the car to fail attempts to accelerate at times. I had taken the car to the Suzuki dealership where I purchased the car within 30 days of buying the car and complained about acceleration. I was told the was new and would take a little while for the parts to work out their newness. Within the next two years this issue persisted and would cease to happen after taking the car in and being told there was no problem found. The issue seemed to go away and would return again within 90 days. I was even told that I was used to driving cars with better performance and my perception of how the car drives was the issue. It was only after going to different service center that I was told the tcms are often replaced but the failure to accelerate issue could also be the engine or transmission. Failure to accelerate could happen after coming to a complete stop or acceleration above 40mph. The issue returned after having the tcm switch replaced within 90 days as it had done after each visit where I was told there was no problem found. The incidents were intermittent and if left past 90 days would increase in frequency. My latest visit was to the original dealership on 7/14/12 where I was told that no problems were found with the tcm switch. When asked to see the read out for the test, I was denied and given $1,500 in estimates to clean my engine and general maintenance that was due. The engine light came on this time, so, I could have errors read. I found out in September that the tcm switch is failing. This complaint is the first step to getting this addressed.
Sometimes the drivers seat belt comes unbuckled while I am driving even though I clearly heard a click when buckling it. Sometimes it seems to come unbuckled almost every day and then it stops for a while. The occurrence is random but continuous, it has not stopped.
Tranny slipping, paint peeling on car.
2006 Suzuki Forenza wagon issues so far: 63k - check engine light came on and a line through the d on the instrument panel showed up, which acts like the car is in neutral. When trying to accelerate the car has no power. If you pull over, turn the car off and restart it then the car is back to normal. It has done this 4 times now in the past 2 weeks. 60k - a couple of months ago the window washer pump went out and I had to replace it. I did it myself and it still cost me $85. Front seatbelt acts like it latches but then comes back out (this problem was recalled). 40k - the air bag light is also lit up on the car.
I have a 2006 Forenza at 36,000 miles my seat belt light remains on and was fixed once under the recall but now they won't fix it again. Then I find out when I took my car for more tires that they are being eaten up by bad rear struts. The car had at that time 56,000 miles. The struts are expensive and of course dealer parts. And now my transmission is slipping. No way to check or fill it unless you go to the dealer and they charge a fortune to do that and where I live there is only one dealer in a several hundred mile radius so there is a long wait. This car is a piece of [xxx] and I think this needs to be recalled. What can you do as a consumer? this is crazy. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
A malfunction occurs when I attempt to shift gears from park to any other. 1. It makes a loud, deep sound, similar to "thunk-thunk" and if I don't have my foot on the brake hard enough, the car lurches. 2. The dashboard signal for pdrn etc randomly changes to a weird symbol that is not any letter in the american alphabet. 3. It makes a revving sound which should indicate a higher velocity when in fact it is at a lower velocity. 4. It will not accelerate properly. When entering a high frequency road or highway, I have to floor the gas pedal to go normal speed then maintain it. 5. It shifts out of drive into neutral while I am driving and independently of my activity, thankfully approximately only about once every month. 6. The check engine light is always on. 7. The mechanic said it was related to the transmission but was called a range something or other. 8. I notice these problems more in stop-and-go city traffic than on long uninterrupted distances. 9. I consider these random car behaviour problems unstable and unsafe. 10. To any driver new to handling/driving my car, I would have to explain its quirks for them to drive and not have a tragic vehicular accident involving the improper response of my car to normal use. 11. The warranty ran out long ago. It was only for three years. The problems started occurring after the warranty expired, of course. 12. It will cost me about $200 to get the range whatchamacallit fixed, $200 of which I believe Suzuki should pay. Unrelated problem, sometimes the seatbelt buckle unclicks itself.
My 2006 Suzuki Forenza's transmission is slipping. They tell me it is a sensor and it will be 400 to fix. It also has an issue with the seat belt getting stuck and or not latching, it also is having issue with suspension issues as well as( power train)ex. Throttle body, front struts, speedometer, seat belt, door handle something has to be done about this my car has only 80,000 miles on it and it has all these issues. I have researched this issue and I have found numerious others with same problem. Suzuki needs to do somethind about this or recall car.
Suzuki Forenza in front end collision with Jeep wrangler. Forenza suffered front end damage. The airbags in the Forenza did not deploy. The drivers side seat belt in the Forenza did not lock when I slammed on the brakes, which led to me slamming against the steering wheel.
The contact owns 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The contact stated that the driver and passenger side seat belts have malfunctioned on separate occasions due to a faulty buckle assembly. The contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer to have the buckle assembly replaced. The contact noticed that there was a recall regarding the seat belts: front: buckle assembly but due to the VIN the vehicle was not a part of the recall. The contact stated that this was a major safety concern since the failure could injure a child. The failure mileage was 32,000.
When you drive car, engine cut power it is happen 34000 mile and still same problem. Inside door handle broke many times. They replace and again they are broke. Seat belt stuck and does not work. Transmission sensor goes out and replace at 54000 mile. Now when start car engine is shaking.
First was the seats belt this was fix , after that was the trans range switch I have to pay because they refuse to pay for that and now is the air bag light is on and I call the manufacturer and they send me to the shop but the shop refuse to check the car because the warranty is expire but this car is from 2007.
The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Forenza. Two months after purchasing the vehicle, the contact received a recall notice for the seat belts. The recall repairs were performed, but afterwards the seat belt would not latch for approximately one month. At 7,000 miles, the vehicle speed control became inoperable. At 22,000 miles, the driver's side passenger door latch cracked at the base. As a result, the contact had to roll down the window and open the door from the rear in order to exit the vehicle. The vehicle began pulling to the left while driving between 40-70 mph. An independent mechanic stated that the tire had a hole in it and would be patched. Also, the vehicle needed an alignment and the contact was informed to take it back to the dealer to have the specifications checked when the alignment did not correct the issue. The failure mileage was 7,000 and current mileage was 23,450.
