I received 3 urgent letters telling me my2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara has an airbag recall passenger side and needed to be repaired right away. But Suzuki only has a few dealers left and none close to me so I have to drive my children in this unsafe car. So I called the dealer and they said I have to drop my car off 3 hours away and leave it for however long it takes to be repaired. And they said they have no loaner cars. They said for me to. Go rent a car and then I can get reimbursed but I cannot do that I don't have the credit card neede to rent a car so I'm forced to drive this car I'm a single mom and disabled. I cannot go one hour without my car. But the recall is not being repaired because of this and my passenger airbag light comes on and off when just l sitting still. It scares me and is unsafe. I must have some rights I figured I would start my complaint here then the govorner or bbb I'm sick of this. I have to drive an u safe car and it's not my fault I can't travel hours to drop my car at the only dealer that will fix the recall and make my car safe again k. Angry and scared.

When I buy the car in between 2 week ago it hace the airbag turn on and the pass too when I ask a mechanic who speacilized in Suzuki he said that it need to go to a desler of Suzuki because the problem is from fabric and the car never was in a accident.

My most recent inconvenience with my Suzuki recall tensioner was on 2/5/2020, I was driving on a busy highway in the rain when my vehicle's belt tensioner and drive belt came off of the recall tension adjuster pulley. I could not turn my vehicle, the alternator light was on, and engine light was on. I have been trying to get all of my recall parts for my Suzuki Grand Vitara repaired since may 2019. Royal Nissan baton rouge, is the company responsible for repairing Suzuki's recalls, but they have failed to honor its warranty policy causing me to spend over $500 in repairs that should have been repaired. The belt has slipped on three separate occasions , I had no other choice but to pay for a new belt tensioner because my life was at risk. The company held responsible for out of pocket expenses and recall parts that are still incomplete is royal Nissan baton rouge, I spoke with a representative by the name of nathan.

My 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara has a bad right side seat cushion open circuit and needs the seat cushion replaced. Isn't this covered by NHTSA campaign number: 13v405000, and why haven't I been notified of the recall? how do I get this issue taken care of now that there is no longer an american Suzuki dealer?.

My 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara has blown at least 4 head lights since I bought the vehicle. Suzuki says that there is a problem with the transistor to the lights,in that it gives too much power to the lights, thus causing it to blow prematurely. They have not issued a recall, Suzuki needs to do something ASAP!!.

Luego DE ellos revisar dicho Suzuki quien tenia el tag 5406 encontraron el cogin defectuoso con c�digo b1312. Donde ellos facturan la cantidad DE $267. 00 por la reparaci�n del mismo. Tengo entendido que la vitara tiene un recall debido a air bags. Podr�an orientarme al respecto.

Air bag wont go out on drivers side when seat occupied passenger seat belt wont goout when engage before in motion was offand on now stays on.

On September 12 2016 aproximately at 2:00am my wife was impacted on the drivers side door waiting for the green light. The vehicle was at a stanstill when a Jeep late 90s model hit her full force on the drivers side door, luckily the fortification of the bar inside the door that goes across took the blunt of the impact and my wife only came out with minoir bruises and cuts from the drivers window. Neither the drivers airbag or the passenger airbag deployed and that concerns me because the vehicle wass estimated to be going around 40mph when it impacted my wifes car. Ive notified my local dealer where Suzuki vehicles are dealt with and its been said that since theres no recall theres nothing to be done.

The vehicle was shipped to a Suzuki dealer in puerto rico and then shipped back to the USA. Once shipped to puerto rico, Suzuki provides a specific VIN as vehicles exported out of the USA. The vehicle was shipped back to USA in 2009 and ever since I have received three safety recall notifications to have done by local Suzuki dealer. We contacted the local Suzuki dealers several times and the VIN does not appear in their system at all. I been told they will not service my vehicle being that it was ship from puerto rico and the only place they would fix the recall would be there. I have contacted corporate Suzuki multiple times and been told they can't do much to try to negotiate with the dealer again which has refused to do the service. I have been many hours explaining my situation to different individuals from dealer and Suzuki and never come to a solution after several months. I'm told that vehicles shipped to puerto rico (us territory) and back to us are not covered under these safety recalls despite I am receiving the notification to my ohio address. Its been several months we been trying to solve this issue and always get the run around. One of the recall is related to air bags and differential train locking due to faulty seal. The vehicle was being driven by my daughter for school and we've now have restricted her from driving the vehicle concerned for these issues. We would appreciate any support or assistance you may provide to solving this issue.

I have tried numerous times through safercar. Gov to check if the airbags I have in my car are on the recall. I get no response. I would appreciate if you can check to see if my car's airbags are ok. A response would be greatly appreciated.

I own 2 Suzuki Grand Vitara 2010 & 2007 and I got a recall notice from the manufacture for taking the car to the dealer for fixing the air bag issue recall called dv so I checked and the nearest authorized dealer is a one our drive so I called the manufacture and asked for help because its their problem and they should some how help costumers to get the car repair before someone gets heart the appointment takes a 1/2 day or more depend of the day and where you live. So I have to loose a day and gas money and my time and go to the next town to get the car repair and I have to do it 2 times because I have 2 cars so don't you think its fair if manufacture help us with some kind of benefits like gas money or oil change or at least let us take it to other dealer near by to do this I need help we have 2 cars and I don't have the time to do it and Suzuki is not helping to get the problem fix so I like to know is there any option for peoples like me who works almost 7 days a week and needs the car I called the manufacture and they whore very rude and don't even want to talk to you and not taking any fault in this recall and not even welling to help you some how to get it fix and perry mach saying we fix it for free its your job to take to the dealer and we don't care how far it is or how long the appointment is so deal with it. So kindly advise me if I have or I can get some help before my family get heart.

2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Consumer writes in regards to tension adjuster pulley recall notice. The consumer stated he received a recall stating the tension adjuster pulley for the drive belt was improperly manufactured. The consumer paid for the part and had his local mechanic to replace the defective part. Customer service, informed the consumer Suzuki would not reimburse him for the incurred cost. The consumer was also informed, the parts were not available regarding the air bag recall.

The contact owns a 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 13v405000 (air bags) and stated that the parts were not available. The dealer did not give a specific date when the parts would become available. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repairs. 2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara recalled approx. Oct. 2013. Suzuki sent a letter saying that parts were not available and would fix when available. It's been 6 months. How long is it supposed to take to manufacture these parts? did their parts suppliers go bankrupt also? dealer now sells another brand and doesn't seem to know (or care) anything about when this will be fixed.

I see that you have recalls on some vehicles for the daytime headlights over heating. It is also happening on the 07 Suzuki Grand Vitara. I have to replace my headlights at least once a year from the over heating issue and it also has a rubber burning smell. If my vehicle is recalled how do I go about getting it fixed if I havent even got called for even the past recalls on my vehicle like the airbag reccall. . . Please inform me on how to do so.

Esp light came on, brought truck to dealer, they say it has a bad hydraulic brake unit at the cost of $1200, Suzuki won't fix it even though their is only 15101mi on vehicle. Mouse infestation due to poor design of cabin body vents located behind rear bumper cover. There are no grills in place over these vents to keep rodents out, they infested the truck and headliner area urinating all over the curtain air bags and compromised them, I called Suzuki and basically was told I'm the only one in the world this happened to and basically did nothing, $4000 in damage.

Brown daub dealership knows of this recall and they refuse to honer this recall there phone number is 484-298-0000.

Just received some recalls . . . Many of them but they don't have anywhere to send me to. . I have not been able to touch bases with them they put me on hold. . Started truck the other morning passenger airbag and seatbelt light came on and won't go off even when no one is sitting in seat. . There was no accident or damage done to vehicle.

Several years ago, the warning/reminder lights for the passenger seat belt and airbag came on and would not go off. I call the dealer and ask about any recalls, I was told that there were no recalls for this specific problem and I would have to pay to have the car diagnosed and repaired. Last year, I had my car service at jack phelan Suzuki in countryside, IL and inquired about it again. I was told the same thing; I would be responsible for the repair. I recently received notification from Suzuki about the same problem and they would repair at no cost to me, provided that the vehicle is less than 10 years old or less than 120,000 miles. My car has 155,00 miles. I called and asked if they would make an exception and was told no. I reported this problem and they were well aware of this problem and now are refusing to fix it. I think they should repair it, as they have known about this issue from other owners besides myself. I don't know where else to go to for help and would really appreciate some assistance with this.

2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara involved in an accident and none of the air bags deployed. Consumer was hit on the rear by another vehicle, which caused consumer to slide and spin. After the spin, vehicle hit a wall head on causing major damage on the front end. The airbags and module where fully intact and had no sign of being tampered prior to accident.
