I bought this car used one year ago and have had to change the low beam lights twice and now they are out again. At night I drive with the high beams on and they are so weak no one can tell. Last month the engine started surging making the car try to take off wether in neutral, park or drive. I have to hold the brake very strongly to keep the car from taking off. This is extremely dangerous for obvious reasons and someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed because Suzuki will not acknowledge or fix this problem. This will be my last Suzuki product ever. I can't afford to get another vehicle right now so I'm having to drive this nightmare daily.

Instrument cluster panel has embedded led lights, no replaceable bulbs. . . Forces entire cluster replacement from unsalvageable or used/salvaged vehicles with no guarantee of true internal condition temporarily or long-term, leading to many safety & dysfunction issues, including "rigged" components such as false mileage, etc. My xl7 odometer/trip meter blacked out at 130k miles, should last lifetime of vehicle. Suzuki no longer manufacturing the clusters, too cost-prohibitive for owners if they were still making them. Many, many owners on forums & online sites complaining of this issue and seeking help or parts from others. I've personally read hundreds. Suzuki needs to remedy this issue immediately so owners can be safe driving & assured of no dysfunction, and protected from further damage related to mileage tampering, including hidden and excessively aged engine/parts.

My 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara has blown at least 4 head lights since I bought the vehicle. Suzuki says that there is a problem with the transistor to the lights,in that it gives too much power to the lights, thus causing it to blow prematurely. They have not issued a recall, Suzuki needs to do something ASAP!!.
The head lights keep going out every six months. I keep replacing, but then the go out again.

Bought this used, but I have had to replace the lights, high beams, day runners since owning this Grand Vitara too many times. I know I have purchased over 15 different light bulbs as they keep blowing out? while driving, they are so dim and then they stop working. This is a hazard and these bulbs shouldn't have to be replaced this many times. Also while driving they blow, or stationary as well, I have made it a habit now to check them before driving since they go out as much as they do. Something needs to be done regarding this ongoing problem & it needs to be done ASAP. It is obvious that there has to be a major problem with the lighting for me to have to continue to buy bulbs on a constant basis, and as for mileage that needs to be put in on this form there have been too many times at different mileage readings so it is hard to say what the mileage is on the vehicle when the lights blow out.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara. The contact stated that there was a progressing failure in which the low beams failed to work. The contact had to constantly use the high beams each time the failure happened. The contact was to check with the manufacturer to determine if a dealer may be able to inspect, diagnose and repair the vehicle to prevent the failure. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.

The head lights keep blowing out, especially the left front. I find myself changing this bulb every 3-5 months. Now the high beams do not turn on from the forward position at the steering wheel, they will work when the arm is pulled back with the high beam light indicating they are working, not the same in the forward position. I have checked the fuses and bulb. I am tired of these problems and it is a definite safety hazard. Suzuki should get on board to fix these reoccurring problems for every owner. But since Suzuki no longer exists in the united states, it will be up to NHTSA.

Problemas con el a ciento del conductor y la bolsa DE aire.
I've had this vehicle for 6 years in that 6 years I can not even tell you how many times I've had to replace the bulbs in the head ligths, at least every 4 months. This is a on going issue with these vehicles I can not believe Suzuki has not been put in a position to issue a recall. This is a manufacturing error and Suzuki knows it.
Changed low beam head lights last year. Both went out again at exact same time when starting. Lights don't due that saw a bulletin about a switch or modulator, looking for a recall & don't know if it's the lights only or a switch.
My driver side light keeps blowing thru low beam h7 headlamp bulbs. They seem to fry every 6 to 10 months.
I was leaving to go to work at 9:45 pm and heading up my street when my lights quit working. I was not able to go to work due to no working lights and had to call out of work. This is not ok I have a little one and work responsibilities. Its a 2010 vehicle at 36941 mles there is absolutely no reason my lights should be going out. I just bought this car in March.
Low beam head light burns out constantly ~4 months. Replaced them at least 8 times since purchased new.
I have replaced the headlamp bulbs 17 times on the vehicle mentioned above the each time they would stop working. Found out there is nothing wrong with the bulbs there is an abnormal operation of the low beam headlamps and the daytime running lamps. They flickered constantly and stopped working one night as my son was driving home from college. He could have been killed!!! we have had the vehicle serviced several times and each mechanic stated there should be a recall. Many people with the same vehicle have posted the same complaint on the internet and I think there should an immediate recall. We cannot drive the vehicle because the lights continue to stop beaming randomly. There is a Suzuki safety recall for this issue on the 2004-2008 forenza and reno and there should be one issued on the Grand Vitara as well.
I have a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara. I have changed the driver's side low beam bulb four times and the passenger's side two times. I recently replaced the fan motor twice and the resistor once. I had to replaced the erg after my check engine light came on. Now they are saying there is exhaust in my coolent system. The only part the warranty cover was one fan motor.
Low beam headlamps keep blowing every 2 months or so, bulb brand does not seem to effect longevity. It is extremely dangerous when the bulbs blow and you live out in the county where it's pitch black at night!!! and then have to switch to high beams and blind other drivers!!! just to get to a safe place to replace the bulbs. Will never own another Suzuki again and can't wait to afford to trade this death trap off!!!!!!!!!!!!! Suzuki dealer says "it is normal".
Having to replace my headlamp bulbs every few months. Driver's side and then passenger side back and forth back and forth since 2009. This is completely rediculous and apparently there is an issue with the manufacturing Suzuki!!!! give ear to these complaints and do the right thing and take heed and action please.
My lights are always going out its hard to see at night when they are on and I considered very dangerous and went dealer where I bought it and they tell me they can't fix it just keep changing lights when they go out not good.
Within a few months of purchasing the vehicle, I had to begin replacing low beam head lamps, seemingly during random starts the bulb would blow out on either the passenger or drivers side, with very little use behind it. Some lamps lasted as little as a few weeks, others lasted more than a year, but the bulbs needed a significantly higher rate of replacement than any other vehicle ive ever driven. I have replaced multiple low beam lamps - 6 driver side lamps, and 8 passenger side in only 5 years of owning the vehicle and less than 20k miles driver per year. No help from Suzuki on the matter. And I only buy quality bulbs from brand name manufacturers at reputable parts stores.
I have replaced approx. 150 low beam headlamps, they blow out at least once a month.
Starting at about 30,000 miles, the car began blowing low beam/driving light bulbs every 3 to 5 months. Sometimes the driver-side, sometimes the passenger side, sometimes both. The blown bulbs seem to blow out during the daytime, when they are acting as daytime running lights, but aren't noticed until night. The date below is the approximate date of the first occurrence.
