On long trips vehicle shuts down and goes into limp mode. It has a very rough idle after restart when it allows you to go. The rims have massively lost large chunks of paint from them as well. It is never close to a dealership when it happens. This normally happens when you are running on the interstate and the vehicle dies in the middle of six lanes of heavy traffic. When this happens no warning lights nor messages appear on the dash. It just shuts down and you literally have to limp it off the road and let it set for a long period of time before it will restart. When it restarts it idles roughly for a long period of time.

Driving on the highway to school the vehicle began to slow down and come to a stop even as I stepped on the accelerator. I parked on the side of the road and restarted and the same thing happened so I had my insurance company tow it. After researching I found that the manufacturer issued recalls for the vehicle but when I contacted them they said there were no found defects/recalls that caused these issues for my specific vehicle.

While traveling on the ohio and pennsylvania turnpike the vehicle loses power and the ability to accelerate. Speed limit is 70 miles per hour in this zone loss of acceleration led to a abrupt stop going uphill. Pedal is fully push to the maximum acceleration point. This usually takes place when driving the vehicle for more than one hour. This issue has happened numerous times with the excess of 30 plus.
While driving of the freeway, car lost the ability to accelerate causing loss in speed while going 75 on the freeway.
The car has on numerous occasions while traveling at highway cruising speed on a sunny day will go into a failsafe mode, and no error is detected by the car, loses the ability to downshift, and loses acceleration. Has become a reoccurring issue on all long trips as the car must be on the road over an hour before the instance will occur. Almost always when in the middle of nowhere which causes driver to have to pull over and wait for the car to cool before the car will allow itself or the driver to downshift even in automatic or manu-matic configuration. Please issue the same recall for the 2010 that you did for the 2013. I have a video of the instance occurring if needed.
