Transmition-on 4/3/2017 Monday - the vehicle would jump from 1500rpms to 4000rpms at 40 mph. Also was losing gas mileage. I brought to dealer that I bought from and they said would have to charge me for a diagnostic test and changed my transmission fluid for a cost of $252. 13. By Wednesday it could barely run. I stopped at local auto repair shop, mechanic took it for a test drive- said it was the transmission and checked the fluid it was quart low. I brought it back to dealer the next day. They did all the tests Suzuki tech told them and have not found the problem. I have called Suzuki warranty in California and sw kim and she was going to call the dealer to seek out the answer and call me back in 24 hours. No call back and two weeks later I still have no answers, repairs or the car. Today I left a message again for kim at Suzuki.

Car was running fine. I was driving southbound in 3 / 6 lane traffic 45 mph in town when a loud knock started knocking under the hood. I immediately pulled off the road as soon as I found a place to pull off otherwise could have stalled causing a major crash of vehicles. I called aaa to have it towed. The repair shop in my neighborhood said I needed a new engine. Car has 72,072 miles on it. The 7 year warranty ran out July 24, 2016. This happened less than 6 months after warranty and 9 months after last car payment. It hasn't reached 100,000 yet for the drive train. Pretty sad.

I had my car repaired in a recall in Jan 2015 (its code is vl). After about one month I found sometimes it was difficult to move the stick out of park. It was a random issue so I didn't take it serious at that time. Recently the issue happens more frequently. I called Suzuki customer service on March 28, 2016 and they told me to have the car diagnosed at a local authorized dealer. I went to the dealer on the same day. The dealer told me the part that was replaced in the recall in Jan 2015 needs to be replaced again, but it already passed the warranty which is one year. I called the Suzuki customer service again and they gave me the same answer: they warranty on that part already expired. I just find on the natsa website Suzuki released a revised document (rcorrd-14v811-4872. Pdf) on Feb 18, 2015 saying they "have received reports of shifting difficulty in some Sx4 vehicles after the recall repair has been performed. " and they released a revised technical service bulletin (rcrit-14v811-3386. Pdf) on Feb 27, 2015. My car was repaired in Jan, 2015, and after that I did not recevie any notice about the revised technical service bulletin. I think the car issue I am having is due to they did not follow the revised technical service bulletin. And I think Suzuki should repair it at no charge. Thanks.

At a cold start there was a loud clicking noise I was told by two master mechanics to see if I still had a warranty because they said it was the timing chain and tensioners so I took it to the Suzuki dealer (brown daub) which told me that was normal I called the garage I usually go to and they think it is the timing chain and tensioners they will be letting me know this week what the problem is plus Suzuki washed their hands of it plus the noise is only getting louder.

Received a recall notice from Suzuki. Took it to the dealer for repairs. They said they don't have the repair parts, never had the repair parts and don't know when they might get the repair parts. They said that there is no one to call at Suzuki since they have exited the us market.
The contact owns a 2012 Suzuki Sx4. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number:14v811000 (power train) and stated that the parts were unavailable to repair the vehicle. Started to have a loud squeal come out of the right side of the car. Took it to dealership and they diagnosed as the axle. It has been almost two-months and they have yet to get in an axle since there are none available throughout the world. They said there must be an issue with the axles since there is none available and they have not been able to get one.
After 38,000 miles and less than 3 years, my Suzuki needs a new drive belt and tensioner according to the dealership. My warranty just ran out. According to research I have done online this belt should last at least 60,000 miles and the tensioner much longer. They are quoting me 450. 00 to repair. Ridiculous!.
