Four problems related to owners/service manual have been reported for the 2015 Tesla Model S. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The main center screen computer began degrading in performance over time (causing more driver attention to be diverted away from driving to deal with functions it controls, as it was laggy and not very responsive). Then, one day, I got into the car to go somewhere and wasn't able to boot the main computer/screen at all. In addition to everything it controls no longer being accessible or working (e. G. Climate control, manual headlights, dome lights, anti-theft alarm, power steering strength, suspension height, etc. ), I also found that I no longer had working turn signals and had to use out-the-window hand signals when I drove to the service center for repair.
Failure of touch screen, infotainment system. Unable to control charge rate of car. Unable to use navigation system. Occasionally the maps on the screen appear to have a seizure/ skitting and flickering which is highly distracting while driving due to maps popping in and and out (going from the map texture to a white screen and back rapidly). Unable to access or use any built in systems. Unable to turn on or off safety features/ airbags. Unable to manually control suspension height to prevent damage to underside of car on roads with pot holes. Unable to activate security features like pin number to drive. Unable to sync or unsync climate zones in the car. Essentially any function normally accessible through the touch screen is unusable. The problem has developed over time with initial problems with touch screen that would begin to work after a short while turning into a point now where the screen never works.
The trunk sensor malfunctioned resulting in the trunk registering as open but being closed. As there are 3rd row seats in the trunk this makes it passenger space and the emergency trunck open did not work, manual open did not work, key fob open did not work resulting in the trunk passenger compartment being locked shut with the potential for children in it with no way to get them out other than to smash the rear window. This is a significant saftey risk!.
* the first input VIN is provisional. The car corresponds to Tesla Model S, but also includes other Tesla. Hello. I am one of the japanese drivers. I saw the following news yesterday (8/26). --------------------------- suyasuya sleep in the driver's seat, automatic driving over 100 km? 8/24 (sat) 18:21 broadcast tele morning news all nippon newsnetwork (ann) a man who sleeps in a car that runs at a speed of more than 100 km / h. Sitting is the driver's seat, not the passenger seat. --------------------------- I saw this news and thought it would be different. In other words, it is not 'not recommended to doze during automatic driving', but 'does not fall asleep during automatic driving'. In addition, the following is written in the news reader comments. -------------------------- ②unknown Tesla vehicles don't wear a detector to deliberately fall asleep. There is a reason why you can't do it with a simple device. It is set to the preference of americans, and is used to collect data. If an accident occurs, the next program will be modified and the program will be rewritten on the vehicle to prevent recurrence. And it leads to completion through an experimental stage. Even if a victim comes out, it is described in the car's instruction manual not to let go and drive, thus clearing the legal problem. And whenever a problem occurs, Tesla says that 'the automatic driving function is a system that supports the driver holding the steering wheel' and does not recommend sleeping during automatic driving. Comment. -------------------------- ③wise ***** if that is true, the manufacturer will be testing the consumer's reputation as a human pillar and will be challenged with a major moral violation. --------------------------- please tell us about your thoughts on the above.
