The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph the power steering locked and the contact had difficulty steering the vehicle as she entered the parking lot. The contact stopped the vehicle, then restarted it and drove home safely. There was steering assist no longer warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
