Dear NHTSA safety investigation team, I am filing an urgent safety complaint regarding dangerous and premature inner-edge rear tire wear on my 2022 Tesla Model X. I have already been forced to replace five tires due to excessive inner-edge wear, which I believe is caused by improper rear suspension camber. Despite repeatedly raising this concern, Tesla has failed to provide a permanent solution. This is a critical safety hazard, not routine tire wear. The damage occurs on the inner edges of the tires, making it difficult to detect and creating a serious risk of sudden tire failure, loss of vehicle control, and potentially catastrophic highway accidents. Similar complaints from other Model X owners suggest a possible widespread suspension-related defect. I strongly urge NHTSA to investigate the 2022 Tesla Model X rear suspension design and determine whether an immediate safety recall or mandatory corrective action is warranted before lives are lost. Sincerely, gurpiar sidhu gary. 209@hotmail. Com 209-598-7776 2022 Tesla Model X owner.
While driving, our tire lost pressure resulting in the tread and side wall of the tire to separate. This failure that occurred is the same defect reported on the continental crosscontact lx sport recalls. It was a huge safety issue as we were driving on interstate and had to safely get to other side and pull over. Tire size - 265/45 r20.
