The contact owns a 2019 Tesla Model X. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal ticking sound and vibrated. The vehicle was taken to a Tesla service center, where it was diagnosed and determined that the half shaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred after 22,000 miles. The vehicle was taken back to the Tesla service center, where it was diagnosed and determined that the half shaft needed to be replaced again. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.
