Unknown Or Other Problems of Toyota 4Runner - part 2

I had a 2006 Toyota 4 runner, limited. The brake system never was right and that is why we got rid of the car. At a light, car would continue to inch forward. I complained to the dealer several times and when it lurched forward when stopped in a school zone this past spring, we immediately got rid of it, since the dealer kept telling me nothing was wrong.

My Toyota 4runner , 2005 was speeding and I couldn't control to stop it. Finally I managed to steer and hit the median of the highway and it stoppped. There was a damage to my car and and injury. I contacted Toyota about the accident but they are not fully cooperating to inspect and fix my car.

2003 4- runner I recently sold my 4-runner but want to report an incident that caused my car to crash into the side of my house causing considerable front-end damage to the car. I was maneuvering the car into its usual parking space, as I had done several hundred times before, when with my foot on the brake, the car surged forward into the side of the house. I did not report this issue at the time of the accident, but recent events have raised questions in my mind and I now believe that an acceleration issue may have been the cause of my accident. The 4-runner is not included in the recall involving floor mats or Toyota's more recent spate of braking recalls. Please advise.

Purchased pre-owned 4 runner ?certified? from russel Toyota 12/07 with approx 21k miles. Complained of unusual brake performance immediately but was told the vehicle was ?performing to factory specs? brake performance issues including aggressive stopping, stiff pedal, loss of pressure, and random ?anti-skid system? responses nearly caused a few accidents. On 3/14, approx 23k miles, complete brake failure, no pressure, accident avoided and coasted vehicle to a stop, pressure did not return. 4runner towed to dealer, master cylinder was ?internally leaking? and replaced. Symptoms continue and vehicle is completely unsafe. Numerous attempts have failed to re-produce the intermittent problem at the dealer and therefore the dealer keeps saying there is nothing wrong. Vehicle is unsafe and Toyota unwilling to help and referred us to ncds dispute resolution program or told us we can file a suit. This vehicle is unsafe and should be replaced. Breaks continue to fail/malfunction approximately 1 time per week. Dealer always says no problems found.

2007 Toyota 4 runner with bad ground clearance. Consumer states that the vehicle scrapes the ground. Toyota reps and service reps keep telling her that ground clearance is measured different ways. The consumer stated she wanted a vehicle with high ground clearance. The dealer told her the vehicle had 9. 1 inches of ground clearance, but later the consumer discovered that wasn't true.

Tl- the contact owns a 2000 Toyota 4runner. The contact stated that the vehicle could not be started. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 142,130 and the current mileage 144,133. Kmj.

1. Flat tire, needed to get spare out from under vehicle. 2. Brand new spare tire had never been taken down, new spare tire has branding marking on the sidewall of the tire, from the heat under the vehicle and where it is attached to has compromised the safty of the tire. 3. Went to Toyota dealer and they said there was nothing they could do.

When the vehicle is slowing down to a stop it randomly lurches forward as if a vehicle is rear-ending mine. The frequency is 3-5 times in a 10 day period.

: the contact stated while driving 60 mph on normal road conditions, the surf board strapped to the luggage rack flew off. The contact noticed the rear cross bar detached from the rack side rails. No warning signals were observed. The dealership and the manufacturer did not accept responsibility because the front cross bar moved towards the rear hitting the rear cross bar forcing its detachment. The cross bars were adjusted to the side bars by thumb screws. The contact expressed concern because the board could hit another vehicle with fatal consequences. The contact was also convinced the thumb screws were not safe to strap any load on the luggage rack.

Not until I read the article on yahoo (inside washington missed signs in Toyotas recalls) did I realize I do have a problem with my 2006 Toyota 4runner. My 4runner constantly lurches foward as I have my foot on the brake in a stopped postion. I always thought it was just the way the truck was made since it was my first Toyota. Now I realize what the problem is. But how do I get it fixed? I do not see the 4runners as having the recall on them.
