Two problems related to tire sidewall have been reported for the 1999 Toyota Avalon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Michelin symmetry p205/65 r15 blew out at highway speed. Sidewall was completely separated from the remainder of the tire. Pictures available on request.
Tread separation and then tire sidewall failure, caused sideways car skid on snow covered road, fortunately there was a gap in traffic at that time in oncoming lane and no one following close behind. (dot number: dbur aa45 tiresize: p205/65r15).
