One problem related to tire tread/belt has been reported for the 1999 Toyota Avalon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
With at least 50% of the tread left on the tires (42,488 miles) the vehicle started to pull to the side of the road as well as the steering wheel jerked back and forth. Upon examination, the front tires were swollen in the tread portion of the tire.
