Power Window Problems of Toyota Avalon

Consumers finger was broken by the window while being rolled up. The consumer had her finger on the window and there was no safety device on the window. Nar 8/ 28/02.

Electronic climate control and dash lights/warnings cut off without notice and cannot be restarted unless ignition turned off and allowed to sit >1min, dealer cannot identify specific problem recommends trying to replace module for $1200 although that may or may not fix problem, more frequent failure in summer months.

2002 Toyota Avalon with unintended acceleration. Consumer states that vehicle accelerated unexpectedly on two occasions. The consumer also stated the right passenger window lowered for no apparent reason.

On 4/25/2002, middle finger on right hand was broken by power window on right rear side of car. There is no safety device to stop window from rolling up when it meets with resistance from object in window. I am in hand therapy and this is August, it still may be another 6 mos before it is healed.
