Seat belts continue to fail on '02 solara convertible. The seat belts fail to retract. Have taken the vehicle to the dealership 3 times while under warranty and the seat belts have been replaced. Happened again while out of warranty and dealer would not replace. It is a concern because my children ride in the back seat and with a convertible. . . You need your seat belts to work correctly at all times.
The contact states the rear seat belt buckle assembly gets lodged under the seat. This makes the seat belt inoperative. The dealership advised him to connect the seat belt when not in use, so the buckle will not go under the seat. This has been a problem since he purchased the vehicle and no corrections have been made.
