1 Structure problem

The contact owns a 2006 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the rear window head lining is loose. The side molding is defective and is not properly holding the liner. A report was filed with the manufacturer. The dealer will supply a new head liner and two side panels, but the contact is responsible for the $300 labor charge. The failure and current mileages were 58,000.

2 Structure problem

2006 solara has developed cracks in the vinyl covering of the dash pad. . . . Including areas around the air bags mounted in the dash. Car has 11,000 miles, stored inside and under a custom cover. In addition to the cracks, the vinyl covering is very sticky to the touch and emits a strong odor. Toyota declined to address the problem on two occasions while under warranty and has now washed their hands of the issue due to a lapsed warranty. The problem is affecting hundreds of owners of both Toyota and Lexus models yet Toyota asserts the problems are cosmetic. The car is seldom driven for fear the air bags might deploy and uncertain of the health issues related to the vinyl odors the car emits.

3 Structure problem

- the contact noticed a rattle and heard squeaky noise coming from the front dash and center console of the 2006 Toyota Camry on the day of purchase. The vehicle will decelerate while driving and vibrate when first turned on. The dealer replaced the dash after keeping the vehicle for two weeks. However, the contact did not see any work was done on the vehicle. The noise still occurred . The contact took the vehicle 4 - 5 times to the dealer with no resolution since the vehicle was purchased in June 23 2006. The contact stated that the vehicle was only giving 23 miles per gallon, no way near the 40 miles per gallon advertised by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 30 miles , and the current mileage was 10,200 miles.

4 Structure problem

Failure Date: 06/04/2005

2006 Toyota solara developed various problems. The consumer rented the vehicle when he discovered the problems with the head rest which protruded from the back seat restricting the already tiny rear window. When backing from any parking space, with the top up, t he consumer was unable to see pedestrians . The vehicle had a 4-8 second delay when automatically shifting from second to a higher gear. The outside temperature gauge became stuck. The lcd gauges can't be seen when driving in bright sunlight.
