I am only owner of this Toyota, it is garaged or has sun visors in place. I am experiencing the same cracked/cracking dash as others. There is absolutely no reason for this to occur. I too wonder what is going to happen if ever my air bags deploy. The cracking so far is on the passenger side dash. This started either in fall of 2012. I have never owned a car with airbags that had this problem.
These body style of this car produces several blind spots for the driver. Specifically, the issue is the elevated posterior windows that make backing up/driving in reverse as well as changing lanes difficult. I have had three incidents since acquiring this car in 2009. Each incident involved the corners of the rear bumper and resulted in damage to the car.
