2007 Toyota Camry, took in for service and was told that the front struts were badly cracked, the car has 44000 miles. Was told that it was my fault that they were cracked, must be hitting potholes or driving over speed bumps too fast. Was told if I didn't have them replaced it would ruin my tires & breaks. Had them replaced but did some checking on-line and there are many complaints regarding this same issue-for some it was replacing the struts at 30000 miles. This doesn't seem right to me. Now the dealer, after I've presented this information has reimbursed me for the parts and then I was even offered a great deal on a brand new car. This seems very strange. Does Toyota know something about struts and not owing up to it? struts shouldn't go at 30,000 or 44,000 miles.
