Upon further inspection, the contact noticed coolant leaking from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle had previously been inspected by an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the water pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired at that time. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence where the water pump was replaced by an independent mechanic. However, the vehicle failed to start. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
