2 Instrument Panel problem

The contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the speedometer, tachometer and the oil gauge failed. The contact mentioned that the gauges would drop to zero while the vehicle was idling or accelerating. The failure recurred intermittently. The contact also stated that the abs and the brake warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing, who stated that the brake actuator needed to be replaced. Consumer would like to know if a safety problem was involved in this incident also what part was replaced and if it was new or used part.
