Seat Belt problem #1

While driving my car it showed an srs airbag system malfunction contact your dealership message. On March 19,2025 we took our car into the dealership, and they stated the car was drivable, but if we were in a head on collision the seatbelt would not tighten to keep us from hitting the steering wheel/dashboard/windshield. The part was not available and would be ordered to be installed within approximately two weeks. As of today, after contacting Toyota north America (reference #250616000216) the replacement part #73370-06120-ao is still not available to our dealership for repair of this seatbelt safety part.

Seat Belt problem #2

A complaint was filed on 08/07/2025 with no response from NHTSA (complaint #116789863) about the part which Toyota is still not able to provide to ensure the safety of individuals in the car if an accident were to occur. This has been an ongoing issue since March 19,2025. Toyota just sent another update stating the part will possibly be available late September. We need a resolution as to when or if the part will be available so our car can be safely driven.

Seat Belt problem #3

I was driving and the seat belt star to make a noise and later the breaks don’t work, I was about to crash , but u was safe because I was driving slow on the screen apear a break problem.

Seat Belt problem #4

The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the front driver’s side seat belt failed to latch securely. Due to the failure to securely latch, the audible chime continually beeped. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the mechanic was in the process of replacing the seat belt and the latch. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.

Seat Belt problem #5

I purchased a Toyota Camry on 2/17/20. Two weeks later the srs airbag malfunction light started to illuminate and the rear seatbelt alarm continously sound off alerting me to fasten seatbelts when no one was sitting back there. I tried taking the vehicle back to the dealer I purchased it from to see what was going on but was told it had to be taken to Toyota. After taking the vehicle to Toyota, I found out the wiring harness had been torn and that it would cost me $4,900. 00 to fix the issue. I was also told if I was ever in an accident, the airbag more than likely wouldn't deploy. Since discovering this issue, I have not been driving the vvehicledue to the safety issue.

Seat Belt problem #6

We were struck in the rear by a driver and pushed into another car in front of us. The airbags never deployed during the accident, seatbelts did not constrain us and the driver seats snapped backwards injuring passengers in the front and in the back of the car. Back seat passengers had life-threatening injuries and front passengers had severe injuries.

Seat Belt problem #7

Whenever I have 1 or 2 backseat passengers, the seats that aren't occupied in the back the sensors go off as if someone's in the seat and needs to put on their seatbelt. So I just put the seatbelt connected so it stopped sensoring.

Seat Belt problem #8

On December 6, 2018, I purchased a 2018 Camry with 65 miles. I am writing to you regarding my accelerator pedal problem. This letter also documents the second incident with the accelerator pedal. The first incident occurred in a parking lot and left me stranded for 4 hours and then without a car for a day. The second incident occurred while I was making a right turn in traffic and the car issued a master warning light, a warning buzzer, and a message on the multi-information display that quickly disappeared. Something is wrong with the accelerator control system or pedal itself. This is a safety issue. The following information is provided to help diagnose and fix the problem. On the fourth incident, I have a video that clearly shows there is an accelerator problem. In three of the four incidents, I was backing up in "r" and noticed there was no accelerator pedal, placed car in "d" and still no accelerator pedal than it would just go. If the car is unable to accelerate either in a turn or in any situation, than an accident or death could occur. Currently car is at a Toyota dealer. Toyota did nothing on the first two visits, as there were "no codes" and would do nothing unless a code was present. I provided them with a video of the fourth incident and it seems they might be a bit more interested.

Seat Belt problem #9

There were no injuries. The dealer was not notified. The manufacturer was notified and provided case number: au0000000358273. The failure mileage was 3,600.
