Seat Belt problem #1

The airbag recall on select Toyota Camry. The manufacturer of the airbags in japan are said to be defective. I have not received new sensors that are on back order. Seatbelt sensors continue to go off, unless they are clicked in all seats. I already had the car fixed twice, they won’t lean to fix the car again. It’s all political financially. The onboard safety sos may also be defective in these models.

Seat Belt problem #2

I was in an accident, going about 40mph (about 30mph at time of impact), and no airbags were deployed. Police officer reported that he also did not see that the tension of the seat belt remained tense after the crash. Seems that there was a problem with both systems. The other vehicle had all their airbags deploy.

Seat Belt problem #3

My seat belt buckle doesn’t click. I am at a Toyota dealership and they are charging me $378 to fix it. My warranty doesn’t cover this as well. This is a huge safety issue.

The VIN was not available.

Driver seat belts doesn’t buckle properly.

Seat Belt problem #6

The contact owns a 2020 Toyota Camry xle. The contact stated while driving approximately 26 mph, an 18 wheeler vehicle crashed into the rear of his vehicle twice. The air bags failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to engage. The message "air bag system malfunction" was displayed. The contact sustained whiplash and hit his head against the steering wheel. The contact sought medical assistance the next day and was diagnosed with an herniated disk and torn muscles in the back. As a result, the contact had undergone a left shoulder surgery. The contact's sister sustain whiplash, hit her head and face against the passenger's side door and sustained soreness and bruises on the right side of her face. The emergency units transported the contact's sister to the hospital where she received medical assistance. A police report was filed. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to his residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for air bags and seat belts failure. The contact stated that the event data recorder (edr) indicated that the vehicle had only sustained one impact; however, the vehicle had sustained two impacts as it was rear-ended twice. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance or explanation for the erroneous report of the event data recorder (edr). The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.

Seat Belt problem #7

The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. Seat Belt problem #8

Our vehicle was struck from the drivers side - rear at an estimated 60mph speed difference. (it is thought we were slowed to approx 25mph, other car was probably 80mph or more). This happened on i95 in lumberton nc. The other vehicle was in left lane, we were in right lane. The other vehicle swerved into our lane hitting us "quartering" from left rear. Force was hard enough to deform right side of car which came in contact with nothing. As the driver, I struck the interior with enough force to cause a "severe" concussion. No side curtains deployed, and I do not believe the seat belts tensioned to restrain me in the seat. My left shoulder, arm, and elbow were also injured in the accident. The front seat passenger suffered injuries to her left arm, and recoiled striking the inside of the right interior. This caused head trauma as well. We don't believe the seat belt tensioned. Passenger in the back seat, right side also suffered injury. Not as severe as front seat occupants. He was throw around in the vehicle, it is unknown if his belts tensioned. All 3 had to be transported by ambulance for injuries suffered. There is a warning displayed in the dash stating, "srs airbag system malfuntion visit your dealer" I believe had seatbelts tensioned, side curtains deployed, my injuries would be much less. This accident occurred 10/11/2020, weather was overcast but dry. Crash force was sufficient to cause body work deformation on right side of vehicle, which came in contact with no objects.
