Assist problem #1

When using lane trace assist as part of the adaptive cruise control the vehicle will violently pull the steering wheel to the left or right out of the lane. This will occur even with vehicles in the lane it pulls to that are detected by the blind spot monitoring system. Brought to a Toyota dealership and they only verified 4 wheel alignment however this did not correct the issue.

Blind Spot Detection problem #2

The blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert systems went out on my new vehicle at about 3500 miles. There are warnings for both that come up on my dashboard. I brought my vehicle in for its 5000 mile check-up and asked Toyota to check into it. Their tech said the outage was caused by the vehicle being in a collision and they were going to charge me to repair the safety systems. The thing is that this vehicle has not been in a collision. I believe it was a faulty installation of the systems. I am not going to pay for something not caused by me when the vehicle is new and under full warranty. I am making this complaint so that maybe there are other vehicles with the same issue and we can get repairs covered by Toyota under a recall.

Lane Departure problem #3

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the braking system erroneously activated, causing the vehicle to decelerate unintendedly. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was contacted, and a field representative was sent to the dealer to examine the vehicle. During the diagnostic test, the vehicle control history report stated that the accelerator pedal and brake pedal had been depressed simultaneously and was caused by driver error. The contact stated that driver error was not the cause of the failure. Additionally, while operating the vehicle, the lane departure feature malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to erroneously steer into the opposite lane of oncoming traffic. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 5,555.
