Odometer fraud. The contact purchased a 2025 Toyota Camry. The vehicle was an iaa auction sale. The contact stated that upon purchasing and picking up the vehicle from the auction dealer, the contact scanned the vehicle with an obd reader to clear the check engine warning lights, and the odometer reading changed from 6,000 to 54,000 miles. The contact discovered the mileage discrepancy while the vehicle was still at the auction lot. The dealer was notified, but no assistance was provided. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 6,000, but it was later discovered that the mileage was 54,000 upon scanning the vehicle. .
